Morvoren Cottage - Sleeps 4 (1 Bedroom)

This is a recent conversion of a farm building, now carefully designed for a fabulous and relaxing break away from it all.

The living space is open plan, with sitting, kitchen and dining areas together. It’s spacious, light and airy. The sofa is a double sofabed. French doors lead out to a private patio area with BBQ facilities and fenced grassy garden and views out across the beautiful valley and swimming pool. The cottage is set back from the other cottages, just up the drive from the courtyard for extra privacy.

The kitchen is fully fitted with new appliances including a dishwasher and breakfast bar. There is a wood burning stove in the living room for those cosy nights in, and a large flat screen TV and DVD player. There is gas central and under floor heating throughout. The relaxing double bedroom with it’s own TV and black out lined curtains, has space for a travel cot. The modern bathroom, accessed through the hall or bedroom, has an L-shaped bath with drench-head shower over.

Originally an ancient farmstead, Coombe Farm now offers four luxury self-catering cottages in North Cornwall. Coombe Farm Cottages are tucked away at the end of a country lane. In this peaceful rural setting you forget the proximity to major trunk roads, which make exploring all of Cornwall so easy.

Everyday there is always lots of fun to be had on the farm, and lots to do!

While retaining the original farm layout, four of the farm buildings have been converted into outstanding holiday cottages with private gardens. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool (May-September weather depending) with spacious sun deck and BBQ facilities.

The communal garden and play area are very popular with children. Guests are also invited to help or watch Farmer Jez on his daily rounds, including feeding the pigs, sheep and horses and collecting the chicken’s eggs.

All cottages have access to the pool, private outdoor area, are fully equipped, free Wi-Fi on the property, on-site parking and fantastic rural views.

Within it’s grassy fields Coombe Farm is home to lambs & sheep that munch away all day, or snooze in the shade by the trees. There are generally 3 saddleback pigs in residence in the back field away from the cottages. They are very friendly and love being fed.

Coombe Farm has amazing facilities. The outdoor pool is heated from May to September (weather permitting), and everyone comments how surprisingly warm it is! There’s a spacious sun terrace with built in BBQ, sun loungers and tables and chairs so you can just spend the day swimming and relaxing by the pool.

About Louise Conway

Lou & Jez Conway took over at Coombe Farm in October 2013. We moved with our young children Ella and William and Granny Sally, 2 dogs and 3 cats. We love the area, the beautiful valley we live in, the pasties, the fresh air, the friendly people, the slower pace of life, the big skies, the cream teas, the wildlife, the rugged coastline. We want to work towards a small holding lifestyle with a few animals and a large vegetable patch. The good life!

We love Coombe Farm as it is totally remote and secluded, quiet and peaceful. It is also 5 mins from major trunk roads & the market town of Launceston. It is an ideal base to explore North Cornwall, the moors, the coast, the historic villages.

Booking Notes:
Arrival & Departure- You can arrive at your property after 3pm on the start date of your holiday, and you must leave by 10am on the last day.
Paying For your Property-
When you book your property you should pay the deposit amount of 30%. The balance must be received no later than 8 weeks before your arrival date. However if you book less than 8 weeks before the arrival date, payment of your total holiday cost is due straight away

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: The cottages are family run. Owners are onsite if needed. Children are welcome to feed the pigs, chickens and lambs when supervised by the owners. Farmer Jez does a morning animal feed and egg collection which any guest children are welcome to help with. Onsite parking in separate car park keeping farm safe. Dogs & Horses accommodated, the more animals the better on the farm. Outside: The outdoor swimming pool is 10m by 5m with walk in steps at the shallow end. It is heated May - September. The pool in surrounded by a spacious sun terrace with furniture and loungers. There is a built in BBQ for general use. The communal garden & play area is very popular, and has a swing set and slide. All the houses have their own private space with metal garden furniture.
