Modern, clean & quiet!

We were looking for a peaceful, tranquil relaxing weekend and that is certainly what you get when you stay at Holymoorside! Trudie was great and the cottage was something you dream about! Can't wait to go back!

Cosy cottage in Village Centre

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was spotlessly clean with lots of little extra touches to make our stay a pleasure. The lack of wifi or even mobile reception was disconcerting at first, but made for a restful few days once we got used to it. The close proximity of Matlock, Bakewell and the fascinating Hardwick Hall made us wish that we could stay longer to explore the surrounding towns and villages.

Trudie is a welcoming but unobtrusive host and we'd certainly recommend the cottage.

The area is a paradise for walkers, but there are lots of interesting places for the less mobile. We'll be back.

A Friendly Little Cottage

  • 5 of 5

So easy to fall in love with this cosy little cottage. Whether you are simply looking for a bolt hole from the hustle and bustle, or just needing a base to explore the magnificent Peak District, this cottage will serve you well. Just a 15 minute drive in that direction *points* will take you to the famous crooked spire of Chesterfield Parish Church and the fabulous Thursday Flea Market. Or if you prefer, in the opposite direction, a 20-25 minute trundle through wonderful scenery will find you sampling the delights of either Matlock or Bakewell. The magnificent Chatsworth House is only 15 minutes away too! Of course if you are just wanting to relax, watch the world go by, and recharge your batteries, this cottage will take very good care of you. It's lovely...just like its owner, Trudie.
