Two Bedroom South Facing Apartment Set In A Peaceful Hillside Location On Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club. Near to Benahavis, San Pedro, Puerto Banus & Marbella

Our property is situated on the secure gated community of La Finca which is part of the award winning Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club. The club boasts a championship 18 hole golf course designed by the legendary Seve Ballesteros and is in a rural setting with a mountain backdrop and sea views. Tennis, paddle tennis and squash are also available. A children's play area is located in close proximity to the clubhouse. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living/dining room, kitchen, utility room and balcony. It has been furnished with great attention to detail and has ivory cream marble floors in the lounge, bedrooms, en suite bathroom and passage ways. Though in a rural setting there is easy access to Puerto Banus, Marbella, San Pedro, Benahavis, Estepona and beyond. Nearest beach is a short drive away in San Pedro

About Frances & Geoff Barr

We are a retired professional couple with four grown up children and eleven grandchildren and are at the stage of life when we need to take things easy; hence the purchase of our apartment in La Finca in 2001. This has become a well loved family holiday home, but unfortunately we are not able to spend as much time there as we would ideally like as elderly parents draw on our time - but our time will come!

Why Frances & Geoff Barr chose Benahavís

We were looking for a property abroad and chose Southern Spain because of its all year round sunshine and warm climate. Los Arqueros stood out above everything else we viewed as it is in such a peaceful and tranquil area; yet only a short drive away from the hubbub of the coast. We feel it offers the best of both worlds! Being set in the foothills of the mountains means we have stupendous views and as La Finca is not overlooked front or back we have an amazing sense of space around us. The location suits both golfers and families as well as those who like to find solace walking in the hills. Los Arqueros is just off the road to Ronda which is well worth a visit and is less than an hour's drive. Glitzy and glam Puerto Banus & Marbella are a 10 minute drive so the choice is yours to take

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is a stones throw away from the clubhouse and its amenities including a relaxed and friendly terrace bar & restaurant which is open all day. With its glorious views it is the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and watch the world go by. For the more energetic there is golf, tennis, paddle tennis and squash available. Its proximity to our apartment makes it the ideal venue for an evening meal and a drink or two without having to worry about driving home. La Finca has the use of 2 shared pools with the nearest one being a 2 min stroll from our apartment. It is visible from our balcony but doesn't overlook it; so we don't get any noise and our balcony remains private. The second pool is also situated close by on the other part of La Finca just across the road. Local places we love to visit include Benahavis for its many restaurants and San Pedro for its authentic Spanish feel & friendly people. The market on Thursdays is not to be missed; full of noise & chatter and a myriad of stalls. San Pedro beach is the exact opposite; quiet and peaceful with ample free parking - enjoy!

We really enjoyed our stay at La Finca. The apartment is very nice. We love the great views from the balcony and that it is really close to the club house. Very convenient as we have walked everyday to play golf. Perfect!

Our apartment is equipped and furnished as a home from home. Fully air conditioned in summer and heated in winter. Wi-Fi internet access and IPTV have recently been installed. Outside there is a sunny south facing private balcony with sensational panoramic views over the golf course and the Mediterranean; onwards to the mountains of North Africa and the outline of Gibraltar. Enjoy alfresco dining outside on the balcony, complete with a dining table that seats six. Sun loungers also available. This is the perfect setting for not only improving your tan but for watching the sun go down with a glass in your hand and a few nibbles. The sunsets just have to be seen to be believed! The apartment is surrounded by landscaped gardens and has a large shared swimming pool with the use of a second one if required. There are ample parking spaces. The Utility Room has a washing machine, washing basket & pegs, iron & ironing board, convector heater and clothes airer. It also houses the hot water tank & controls and the air-conditioning unit. A hair dryer is available for guest use. Linen & towels are included. Beach/pool towels available for a small charge. Mid holiday cleans and linen change for stays of more than 10 days may be arranged at cost

Perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday

Nice apartment, not visited that area before and was really impressed. If you're a golfer it's great, right on the doorstep to the golf club. Lovely views from balcony. Apartment had all mod cons. Supermarket only 10 mins drive away.

Excellent Base for Andalusian Holiday

The 2 bedroomed apartment is based on the La Finca development at Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club. It is well furnished, immaculately clean and it is clear that the owners take a real pride in the maintenance of their property.

There are two double bedrooms both with built-in storage facility and two bathrooms. The kitchen is galley style but has all the facilities you need including cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and separate washing machine in small utility room area.

The open plan lounge dining room area is bright and spacious and there is good sized patio area that can be accessed from the lounge or main bedroom.

The apartment is located on the middle floor of a small block of 6 apartments and has marble floors in all the main areas. The patio has a table and 6 chairs plus 2 additional lounger chairs so plenty of seats outside in order to sit and relax and soak up the Costa del Sol sunshine. La Finca is a separate development with it's own security gate within the Los Arqueros development which also has a main security access gate.

The Los Arqueros development is in a great location for access to the beaches at San Pedro, Estapona, Sabinillas, Duquesa Port etc and within a few miles you are into the very picturesque scenery of Andalusia and exploring some of the picture post card villages of Benahavis, Casares, Ronda +++

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Frances was very helpful throughout the booking process and very clear instructions provided on key collection etc.

Please note that as I write this review, the TV system within the apartment is currently being changed over to the latest IPTV technology but internet access is available for a nominal charge to the internet provider for the duration of your stay.

We would have no hesitation in staying at this apartment on any future trips to the area

What a gem!

A lovely gem of an apartment situated in a stunning location, it contained everything for a perfect home from home. We especially enjoyed the peaceful setting and quiet pool-no mad dash for sunbeds!Lots to see and do nearby and plenty of good restaurants, Benahavis worth a special mention. I would recommend a car to take advantage of the super local area; an amazing tour to Ronda through the mountains is a must. Frances was so helpful, kind and generous she is a pleasure to deal with. Hope we can return one day.

Fantastic time on a family holiday

Just back from our two week family holiday at Frances and Geoff's apartment at La Finca, Los Arqueros.

The apartment was bright, very clean and had all we needed for our two weeks with our five year old daughter.

It's in a great location close to the Club house and within five minutes drive of San Pedro and the main supermarkets. Had a great time, highly recommended.

Lovely apartment, wonderful views

My husband and I stayed at this lovely apartment for 3 days in April. We found it to be very clean and comfortable and had everything you may need . The views over the golf course out to the sea were wonderful and easily enjoyed from the comfortable loungers and dining area on the very large, sunny terrace . The area is excellent, in close proximity to San Pedro, Puerto Banus and many excellent golf courses. Frances was a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. We would definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends.

Superb Apartment

My husband and I have just returned from staying at this beautiful golf resort. We found the apartment to be extremely clean, very comfortable and had everything you require. The apartment itself had lovely views and with the bonus of the very large, sunny balcony with comfortable sun loungers. This made for a very stress-free holiday. We ate in the clubhouse most days and found the staff very welcoming and the food, which we thought was very reasonable, was excellent. We will definitely be booking here again in the future. San Pedro was delightful with a quiet, sandy beach with plenty of parking. Esteponia and Mijas also within easy reach, also Benahavis was delightful.

San Pedro beach is a quiet, secluded beach situated approx 4 km from La Finca and offers extensive free parking. San Pedro’s 2 km long beautifully tiled promenade is very wide and delightful, and there you can enjoy the mixture of lush gardens on one side and beautiful sandy beaches on the other side. There are several chiringuitos and beach bars all the way along, and most of them specialise in the true Spanish Mediterranean cuisine including paella and fresh seafood.There are numerous other local beaches in Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estepona with a water park in Fuengirola


Malaga Airport 60km (38 miles). Gibraltar Airport 70km (40 miles). Car rental is highly recommended to allow you to explore this widely varied area. Malagacar.com has provided us with excellent service and its rates are very competitive. Well worth checking out. If required Airport transfers can be arranged at reasonable cost

Further Details

The Mercadona supermarket in San Pedro is the nearest, well priced shop where you can buy most everyday grocery & household items. It has the most amazing fresh fish counter which we head for almost on a daily basis! It is worth noting that most shops shut on Sundays. There is however, an Opencor (small supermarket) at the entrance to Monte Halcones which is only minutes away on the left of the Ronda Road heading towards the coast. It is open everyday from 0700 until 0100. Alongside it is a restaurant, bar and cash point. A cash point is also available at the Los Arqueros clubhouse. San Pedro offers a full range of restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, banking facilities etc along with a not to be missed busy, vibrant and inexpensive outdoor market on Thursdays. Benahavis is famous for its many excellent restaurants and is one of the beautiful whitewashed pueblos to be found the area. Casares, perched in the mountains behind Estepona, has to be one of the most stunning examples as it sits precariously balanced on a cliff edge; with a reasonably challenging walk up to the castle at the top of the pueblo. Refreshments are available in the square! Maps and books about the area, which cover all the lovely places to visit, are available in the sideboard in the living room. For the energetic there are books with suggested walks and for the less energetic there is one called 'The Back Roads of Southern Spain' - 25 easy to follow routes that let you discover southern Spain's best kept secrets. If after a day out self catering is not for you then we can highly recommend a meal at the Tehuelche Grill Argentino, to be found on the left hand side of the Benahavis road heading towards the coast. Fabulous food and excellent service!! If you fancy some designer shopping then head into Puerto Banus or Marbella and you will be spoilt for choice. Both have sea front walks and Puerto Banus is famous for its fabulous collection of millionaires' yachts and cars
