Worth every penny!

We love this house. We go back every year (if we can). It's the kind of place where you arrive and your shoulders drop. Relaxed, laid back, comfortable, on the beach. It's terrific. Highly recommend. Thanks very much for so many wonderful memories!

A warm & Cosy winter weekend.

Our stay was extremely good, accomodation as described and the owners could not have been more helpful at every turn. It was very warm & cosy & comfortable beds, heating & hot water & ensuite bathroom marvellous, kitchen well equipped and tv & sitting room great. I would recommend it to anyone with or without a family. Excellent location re 2 mins from beach. Many pubs and shops a few mins car drive away. Many thanks to the family of Windlestraw.

Ideal for family looking for seaside holiday

This house is ideal for a family of all ages looking for sun,sand,and seaside holiday.Standing oin an exclusive private estate it is literally 100 yards from what must be the longest sandy beach in the south of England.Chichester harbour a Mecca for sailors and the South Downs lovely for walking are within easy reach as is Chichester with its two renowned theatres and ancient streets and Cathederal

The listing description of the house is accurate and it is clean and well maintained.

The owners gave us excellent service and were prompt in dealing with problems.

We would certainly recommend the property to any of our friends whose idea of an ideal Holiday is similar to ours.

Coast/Beach:

There is direct access to West Wittering beach through the gate opposite the house within 2 minutes walk. The natural and unspoilt sandy beach of West Wittering is one of the premier Blue Flag beaches in the country, perfect for picnics, popular with wind and kite surfers and internationally recognised for its wildlife, birds and unique beauty. The beach sits at the mouth of a beautiful estuary which is perfect for sailing, kayaking, horse riding and walking.

Travel:

15 minutes drive to Chichester main line station - direct line to London Victoria.

25 minutes drive to Havant main line station - fast trains to London Waterloo.

5 minute walk to local bus stop with regular buses to Chichester (every 15 mins)

Goodwood 13 miles

London 87 miles

Further Details:

West Wittering village boasts a great family pub The Old House at Home which has a large garden with a children's play area. The Beach House hotel has a reasonable restaurant. There is a lovely coffee shop called The Landing, a local butcher, hairdresser, gift shop and newsagents. In East Wittering which is about a mile away there is much more extensive shopping and restaurants including two large supermarkets, a great local fish shop and greengrocer as well as the usual suspects.
