Traditional Spanish Townhouse style in probably the best location on the Costa Blanca. Mature trees and flowers with well maintained gardens and pool for adults and section for children. Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms (plus bed settees in lounge & sun room).

Lounge with enclosed kitchen, conservatory, small pretty breakfast garden, large roof terrace with loungers and sea views. 2 balconies. . Swimming pool just outside front door. Beach end of road.

Our families love the place. Everything we need is within an easy walk so a car is not necessary. No need to cook because eating out is so amazingly affordable for the quality. Mature beautiful development with 3 great family beaches to choose from. All the shops and restaurants you could possibly want just up the road but out of sight and sound. Takes 40 mins from Alicante, 18 mins Murcia but why rush - loads of seaside cafes and restaurants en route.

Who wants a huge number of bars, shops and restaurants just up the road? - well we do if they are well out of sight. So much choice!. We love the nearby Belgian coffee bar with home made patisserie, the children will drag themselves away from the pool for the Wok buffet 200 m away. Flash round the corner for a 4 Euro full breakfast or tapas We like to stroll along the cliff top and nature walk to the right and end up at the Spanish cafe with good value food or maybe the excellent English restaurant for breakfast or dinner or along the strip for Spanish, great Italian, choice of Indian, good fish and chips, a great selection of pubs. A pint in the sun and watch the footie? Or leave it all behind and a quiet read by the pool/on the balcony/dine on the roof terrace/ lounge by the pool or down to the beach. Just typing this and I want to be there now !!!!!

You can go down the road by car to other supermarkets and the big new shopping centre 3 km away or checkout the developments by the sea on your way to nearby Torrevieja. The big town is great at Christmas and a really nice place to visit for the sea front restaurants, ice cream parlours, night market and numerous other restaurants, bars and entertainment further back.

You can go further to Alicante or even Benidorm with its expensive theme parks. Off season, walking the mountain ranges behind can be beautiful.

I am a lawyer. We bought the property 10+ years ago and continue to enjoy family holidays. I have retired and we would like to cover the outgoings but not let much so as to avoid the house deteriorating and so we do not disturb others on the development.

We have a lovely lady (Mary) and her husband who do the cleaning and will help you in an emergency. I visit from time to time to enjoy it and to do my best to make sure everything works.

A fabulous holiday in a great location

We have just enjoyed one of the best holidays. the location is superb with so much to do. Local blue flag beaches 5 minutes walking distance and bars and restaurants 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction. The house was so well equipped , clean and very comfortable with plenty of room for sunbathing. I would highly recommend this property. It is excellent value for its location and the owners made the transaction very easy. I will be going again! A++

Our holiday home. 2 airports. Cabo Roig is probably the most attractive mature development on the Costa Blanca. It is mostly large villas with two lovely beaches and harbour. It is away from the mass of modern development but only just up the road is the main strip with numerous restaurants, pubs, shops etc. Handy as possible with everything we need. All ages in the family enjoy it and gran could sleep downstairs to avoid steps. You can go up the road to the "strip" and have a great night out or avoid it completely and enjoy the peace of the area. Relax on the roof patio and step out of the door into the pool (separate children's section). Or stroll down to the beach. Take the cliff walk in either direction and end up in a cafe or a one of several smart restaurants overlooking the sea.

Special interest holidays:

Well established flowery development with pool outside door, safe beautiful beach down road with little harbour and choice of restaurants. Every restaurant, shop and bar you could want up the road but well out of sight. No car needed. Lovely seaside walks in both directions. Numerous golf courses. Waterpark in town. Very good Zoo (Rio Safari) 45 mins. Out of main season, we enjoy walking in the mountains behind Benidorm, Guadalest is magnificent. Allow a couple of hours. An hour away is Cartagena, a Roman city with impressive ruins and good tapas. Elche 45 mins with its palm park + big shops and museums. Orihuela, Murcia, Alicante and many other nearby towns have attractions. Wine routes are available. Bodegas in town. Visit the nearby salt museums at Torrevieja and salt lakes. Go to Santa Pola for the salt flats with flamingos, fishing fleet, roman remains, tapas - take a glass-bottomed boat trip from there to the island of Tabarca to dine or picnic and swim. Hire a bike and cycle the car-free canal. Go for a mud bath/watch birds or just walk at Lo Pagan (Mar Menor) - 30 mins. Dont miss the salt museum just before Lo Pagan and the birds opposite. Mar Menor is good for walks by sea, play areas and shallow warm water + numerous restaurants & cafes. Wild Nature Park and deserted beaches (Calblanque) along coast by sea in an hour but don't tell everyone! Continue on to the pretty little fishing town of Cabo de Palos with its fish restaurants. Visit La Union in the hills for the minerals museum - ask there for the local restaurants of real Spain or the Flamenco festival. Try one of the numerous wonderful food markets - every day in the area. Torrevieja has the biggest in Spain. Best vegetables in Europe, wonderful ham, oranges like you never tasted them, olives, salted almonds, almond cakes to die for. There is a good little market on Thursdays a walk away.


The beach is out of the car park, turn right and at the end of the road. 4 minutes walk. The restaurant at the end of the beach is lovely. One one on the beach in summer is handy. Another fine restaurant higher up and a cafe by the harbour - suits all pockets. You can stroll along the cliff walk in either direction to other beaches and stop at cafes or restaurants on route.


25 mins from Murcia airport, 45 mins from Alicante airport. Motorway all the way there. Car hire not essential. Taxis (or coach+taxi) once there everything you need is an easy walk including supermarkets. From Alicante we prefer the coastal route because there are lots of places to stop for a swim or meal or drink. That road almost takes you straight to the property. From Murcia airport it is a short easy drive. There is a coach from Alicante to Torrevieja.


20 mins or less to Torrevieja - biggest market in Spain, numerous restaurants, lovely Christmas display and parade (and hot chocolate), sea front with ice creams, submarine, good fair, countless cafes and restaurants. Salt museum. 35 mins Orihuela, 50 mins Alicante, 1 hour to Murcia and Cartagena (Roman ruins). Fine golf courses nearby.

Further Details:

The development is quiet except at the height of the season when the pool is popular. The beach is so near that you can always choose pool or beaches. The sandy beach is ideal for families - safe and clean - and there are other sandy beaches (with cafes) within walking distance. Swings & slides nearby. We love the cliff walk to the next two sandy beaches and the big cafe by the sea with very good tapas. You can walk the other way along the top of the cliff to cafes and restaurant and the Thursday market. The harbour restaurant is beautifully located. Just up the road on the main strip are all the shops, restaurants and pubs you can possibly want - only a 3 minute stroll. Supermarket, Belgian pastries and home made ice creams, Spanish restaurants, English, Italian, Chinese, Indian, pizzas, steakhouses, fish and chips, English & Irish pubs etc. Lots of entertainment. (10 euros for a full dinner with wine! Breakfast 3 euros).

Could not be more convenient for beach and shops and restaurants but at the same time it is private and secluded. What is exceptional about this property is not only the location but the fact that it is right by the pool and has a large rooftop patio with sea views, an attractive little garden and nice balconies. Everyone can pick their own spot. No need to go anywhere else (However we like a car to visit so many places around for great food, markets, birdlife, fishing towns, traditional Spain, to walk in the mountains or the wild nature park a hour away) .

  • Notes on accommodation: This is a central terraced house in the best position on the development - with the lovely pool just outside the front door. (Children and adult areas in pool). Just down the road is a family sandy beach with harbour, cafe and restaurant. Sea is very safe and clean. Beautiful cliff seaside walk to more beaches. Just up road is the main road with numerous shops, cafes (including fine pastries), restaurants (grandchildren love the Wok Buffet) and pubs. The house is a standard terraced house but with rather more - see details incl sun lounge & large sun terrace with sea views. Development is mature with flowers & trees well maintained. 2 car parks and secure with electric gate. We have owned it for 10 years and all our family and children love it. Outside: Large attractive communal swimming pool outside front door, divided into children/adult areas. Balconies at front and rear (good for a quiet read). Large roof terrace with tap (cool you down), sea views, chairs, tables and sun loungers available. We like to have family dining there. Small but attractive garden with table and chairs and barbecue. Bougainvillea and rear hedge for privacy. Some beach items. Utility Room: See Kitchen etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and Linen are included. The property will be cleaned for you at the end of your stay but you must pay an extra €50 for this. Other: Sun lounge + rear garden. Double bed settee. Choice of dining table in lounge/living room or in sun lounge or use the garden table and chairs. You can sun lounge or dine on the roof terrace with sea views. Front balcony faces pool, back over garden.
