The apartment has 3 double sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 en suite) large lounge with dining area and a modern fully equipped kitchen with separate utility room. Leading off the lounge is the balcony for outdoor dining overlooking the Spanish countryside of fruit plantations and views towards the sea in the distance. Immediately behind the complex rises the mountains of the Sierra Bernia providing a dramatic backdrop to the whole beautiful location. The apartment has large ceiling fans throughout the living area and bedrooms and air conditioning units in the master bedroom and the lounge. A modern eco wood burner will ensure that you remain comfortable during the occasional chill of a winters evening. A marble staircase leads to the large 45 sq mtr rooftop solarium, equipped with a Gas BarBQ, solarium shower and outdoor furniture for just lounging in the sun, or rooftop dining and entertaining. Equipped with cable TV, CD and DVD, Fast WiFi throughout. Document safe.

Lovely apartment in beautiful Altea

Clean, well equipped & spacious apartment,with a fantastic swimming pool. Only 5 minutes from the village of Altea La vella, with shops & many restaurants. Altea town is 15 minutes away, with a lovely promenade & loads of typically Spanish restaurants. Ray & Jill were great hosts, talking us through all there was to see & making the booking a real pleasure. Have really fallen for Altea & hopefully will be back soon. John Gail and Tabitha.

Wonderful stay in Altea

We had one of our best Holidays in Altea. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings and a wonderful apartment with all the facilities necessary at your disposal. A vacation full of relaxation and sightseeing, lovely food and nice people. We had good and very professional communication with Ray Jenkins and we give our best recommendation without any hesitations. Malene and Jesper.

Lovely villa set in an idyllic location. Perfect for a relaxing holiday, we had the pool to ourselves mostly.

Very nice stay in a lovely part of Spain

Had a great holiday in this lovely apartment. We hadn't been to this particular area of Spain before but were very impressed and would definitely come again. Particular highlights were Altea old town - very atmospheric, especially at night time and too many wonderful restaurants to choose from, Altea sea front (again, particularly in the evening, and Moriara beach (also good beaches in Calpe).

The apartment itself is very well laid out with a lovely balcony for breakfast/lunch, and a fantastic roof terrace with gas barbecue (local supermarkets in the nearby village supply every you might need). There is a nice swimming pool at the edge of this small complex which the kids loved, and which we often had to ourselves.

A car is definitely needed as the complex is a few minutes drive from the village and 10 minutes drive from Altea town. We didn't find this an inconvenience however, and the location really just added to the peaceful nature of our holiday.

The owner's themselves were very helpful in the lead up to our arrival and had also left a wealth of information in the apartment which gave us a few recommendations regarding places to eat/visit etc.

In summary, I would certainly recommend this apartment for couples or families looking for a quiet and peaceful location, but also one with good access to other places of interest.

Nearest Airport : Alicante at 56 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Altea at 2 Kilometres Car: necessary


Nearest beach L'Olla is just 4 kms away. Small pebbly beach with intimate restaurants and tapas bars practically on the beach itself. Larger family beaches of Calpe with long stretches of golden sand and Albir pebbles are just 6 to 7 kms away, easy and free parking.

The rugged coastlines around Calpe and Albir have wonderful walks over the cliffs and with Altea have long promenades for walking, running and special cycle pathways in between. Altea has a bicycle hire scheme.


Nearest Airport Alicante 65 kms. Journey from airport to apartment takes around 50 minutes all on motorways/autopista with toll of 5 euros. Hire or use of car is essential for the holiday and area. However frequent buses are available in the village to Altea and Benidorm. Taxis are easily available from the apartment to and from the town of Altea, Albir and Calpe.

Altea is the cultural capital of the Valencia region. It has long been famous for attracting many types of artists and craftsmen who show and sell their arts and crafts in some of the finest galleries, shops and boutiques reflecting the upmarket status of the area. Altea is often referred to as the "Pearl of the Mediterranean". In the old quarter you will find quiet bars and excellent restaurants offering very good value-for-money international cuisine in a relaxing and "old world charm" atmosphere. Altea is designated as a marine resort, and at the same time remains a working town, not totally dependent on tourism and remains open all the year round. A small fishing port and a weekly market on Tuesdays.

  • Notes on accommodation: This is a modern luxury apartment fully equipped for family holidays. It is maintained and cleaned to a very high standard and most of the equipment is new. The apartment is situated within a beautiful rural area just outside 2 kms the village of Altea la Vella, with small supermarket, bank, pharmacy, international stationary/papers, bars and fine restaurants, and the well respected Don Cayo 9 hole golf course is within the village area. The nearest beach of L'olla is only 5 minutes drive away and the large beaches of either Albir and Calpe are 15 and 20 minutes drive from the apartment. From the apartment balcony you overlook orange and nispera plantations and pine forests with undisturbed views to the sea. Behind rises the majestic mountains of the Sierra Bernia with in plenty of walks and challenging hill walking. Things to do are many, cycling, sailing, walking, diving and places to visit, theme parks, water parks are only 20 to 30 minutes drive away. Outside: The apartment is within a pueblo styled complex, with gardens, walkways, private parking electronic gated security. The swimming pool is exclusive use for apartments with changing rooms, showers, small gym and sauna. The large swimming pool is equipped with sun loungers and open all year round being covered and heated during November to April. Utility Room: High standard washing machine, tumble dryer and large wash basin. Fully fitted with iron, ironing board and Henry cleaner etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: A full set of linen is provided for all beds and pillows.
