Bay View, Port Isaac, Cornwall, England - 10 Minute Walk To The Pretty Fishing Harbour And Sea

Sleeps 10. 5 bedroom house. A fantastic property with a lovely open plan living area overlooking the valley with sea views to the side. Only a 5 minute walk from the bustling harbour of Port Isaac-made famous by the TV series Doc Martin. Bay View is in the perfect spot for a great family holiday, with pubs, cafes restaurants and shops all within a short walk.

The 5 bedrooms consist of 2 double (king size beds) and 3 twins. There are 2 doubles and 1 twin are on the ground floor and the other 2 twins upstairs with a joint en-suite bathroom with bath and wc. Downstairs there is also a big family bathroom with large separate power shower and bath, sink and wc.

The house is light and airy and much thought has gone into the interior decoration. There is a new kitchen at the property and this leads onto the dining and living area. From the lounge there are huge glass doors leading out to the terrace making the most of the views and providing an area perfect for dining and relaxing.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and there is a washing machine and dryer at the property. We have tried to think of everything you would need to make your stay as comfortable as possible with a very well equipped kitchen and all the conveniences necessary for a smooth running holiday.

All heating, electricity, towels and lovely Egyptian cotton bed linen are included in the price.

Please bring beach towels.

lovely seaside family cottage

all 10 of us plus baby Rosa and Dylan the dog had a lovely break - very good locations and wonderful views. Could do with another shower room downstairs for the number of people.

Good house

We stayed with another family and there was plenty of room for us all (4 adults and 6 kids). The house is spacious and well laid out. It is a bit tired in places and in need of some attention, however this did not cause us any issues. The kitchen is well equipped with the exception of a potato peeler! The decking area outside is lovely to sit out on when the weather is being good to us, however the furniture is very dated and some of the chairs felt very unsafe to sit on, pleased none of them gave up on us! The garden is a great size for the children to burn of some energy and the laundry room being away from the kitchen is great as it means no listening to a washing machine whilst trying to relax in an open plan area. I would recommend this house for a large group or a couple of families as it is well located in Port Issac and the town had a great pub and some other shops and cafes. You can also walk to neighbouring ports, although they are somewhat smaller.

Fantastic large house with parking for 3 cars (which is a rarity in Port Isaac). Only a 5 or 10 minute walk down to the harbour. Spacious property great for families with lovely views out over the valley.

We stayed at bay view for two weeks as our honeymoon, the house is beautiful and so spacious with absolutely beautiful views! We had our nearly two year old daughter with us and the house is toddler proof so managed the steps into the lounge area and kitchen area just fine. While down here we have been all over Cornwall exploring and have had a brilliant time doing so. We went out in Port Isaac twice and the food at the mote and the golden lion was out standing and it is such a lovely walk to do! We did quite a few meals at bay view as it would seem silly not to use the kitchen and with the farm shop being near for great produce! A beautiful house in a beautiful location with stunning views!

Coast/Beach:

This is an unspoilt corner of Cornwall with lots to discover. There are numerous coastal walks on your doorstep and plenty of opportunity to get away from it all. The north coast provides rugged scenery, fantastic sunsets and wonderful beaches.

Distances:

Port Isaac fishing harbour is 0.25 km away.

Not far away (20 mins) is the popular surfing beach of Polzeath. Also nearby you can find Trebarwith Strand, another favourite, and further along is Rock where you can catch the ferry across to Padstow - only a 10 minute boat ride away.

Further Details:

In the season you can book fishing or scenic trips from Port Isaac harbour and there is horse riding nearby and of course many beautiful Cornish gardens to visit.
