Set in a quiet residential area, Villa Florent is spacious, tastefully furnished and offers privacy, charm and tranquility. Just a short stroll from the villa is a selection of bars and restaurants. The villa consists of lounge/dining room, fully fitted kitchen and utility area. There is a double bedroom, two twin rooms and two bathrooms, one with bath and and one with shower. Access to the patio, sun-terrace and pool area is via the lounge and Master bedroom. There is off-road parking for one vehicle and ample room on the road also. Just a short stroll from the villa is a selection of restaurants and bars. They is also a mini-market which stocks a wide range of items including freshly baked bread. The nearest beaches are just a 5 minutes drive, golf club 10 minutes and the capital Mahon 20 minutes.
We originate from Bath and now live just outside Windsor. We have owned a property in Addaya for the past 15 years, moving to Villa Florent early in 2014. We love the area and have enjoyed family holidays there with our boys since they were very small. We chose Menorca for many reasons including its attractiveness, many beaches, close proximity to the UK (under 2 hours flying time) and its quiet/peaceful reputation. All the above are still valid, but we have discovered many more reasons to stay as we are sure you will too.
The Owner purchased this villa in 2014
Our first house in Addaya was very close to Villa Florent, which we passed many times whilst on quiet afternoon, early evening walks. Like many we dreamed of owning it, but never thought it would happen. That all changed in 2014, when we were lucky enough to buy it !
Villa Florent is in a very quiet cul-de-sac, close to the highest point in Addaya. It is spacious and airy inside, facing south, ensuring the sun is on the private pool from early morning to late in the day.
The south facing terrace and pool are our favourite things about the villa. We often spend balmy evenings eating straight from the BBQ on the terrace and cooling off in the pool. The house stays cool in the summer, protected from the sun by the terrace.
Villa Florent is very close to the centre of Addaya, where there are three bars/restaurants, a supermarket and gift shop. The marina and its waterside restaurant are also a short walk away.
Great stay in Villa Florent in Addaia with the family. Well equipped villa in great condition and in excellent location with bars and restaurants nearby. Ideal for relaxing holiday. (4*)
Great location, very peaceful and quiet which is what we all wanted! The kids loved playing in the pool and we enjoyed relaxing on the sunloungers :0) Lovely, traditional villa, perfect for the family and we will definitely be back!
We are a family of 4 and have just come back from a lovely week in August staying at this villa. The villa is fantastic with lots of character and plenty of space (with all the amenities you need). The owners were very easy to book through and provided all the info you needed for your stay. The pool and outside space is also great and we spent a lot of time cooling off from the August sunshine in the pool (a big hit with the kids). The location is also perfect in our view... 5 min walk to a couple of great restaurants (the corner cafe does brilliant tapas, book in high season and there is a very good Indian with outside bar). You are also 5 mins from port Addaia which really is lovely and there is a great cafe just next to the boats/sea front and we enjoyed a couple of evenings there. You are a quick car ride from a selection of fabulous beaches, Son Parc was our favourite as its a large beach with white sands, shallow sea (safe for children), a couple of good cafes and easy snorkelling. We also loved Fornells (took a boat ride from here and enjoyed walking around the narrow streets and eating here, it has so much charm), Es Gras (beach right next to a small village, very nice) and Cavalleria (red sands beach which we loved). I 100% recommend this villa, location and the lovely island of Menorca. Its perfect for families in particular.
Great
We are a family of four consisting of 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. We were very pleasantly surprised on our arrival at the villa as it was a lot larger than we were anticipating. The photos definetly do not do it justice. We ate out every day but if you enjoy eating in then the kitchen had everything you could possibly need with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, trays and cutlery. There was an abundance of dvds and books and plenty of movies to watch on the sky package. The tv only shows sky channels so unfortunately no BbC/Itv etc but that didn't bother us as there were plenty of other channels. The Wi-Fi was excellent and was accessible even out by the pool. Addyia was a little gem of a place with 2 restaurants, a souvenir shop and a convenience store that was stocked with everything you could possibly need including an internal bakers offering warm freshly baked bread throughout the whole day and evening. We spent many nights eating at the local restaurants but also took a short taxi ride to Arenal where there were plenty of restaurants and bars. Tip...ask the taxi driver to take you to the Romany part so that you go to the restaurants overlooking the sea. Overall we had a wonderful, relaxing, sun soaked family holiday and would definetly return. The villa far exceeded our expectations and had plenty of sun loungers and chairs outside along with a lovely shaded area to cool off, 2 large tables to eat at, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen and utility room and everything was clean, bright and tidy. We also had an added bonus that on our last day we were allowed to stay in the villa until 3.30 pm due to a later flight which meant we could relax and enjoy our last day even more.
Our group comprised of 2 grandparents (myself and husband) our daughter and her husband and their two children 12 and 15 yrs. The property was clean and well maintained and the facilities were as recorded on the website.
We all enjoyed the lovely pool and garden particularly as the weather was very hot. The Wifi was very useful and the children made full use of it when they took a break from the sun on the comfortable lounge furniture. We have stayed in Addaia many times over the years and the villa location was very convenient for the shops and restaurants 5 minutes walk away and we ate at El Castillo, the tapas bar and the Indian restaurant as well as driving to eat at the lovely village of Macaret which is only 5 mins away and also Arenal Castell a 10 min drive from the villa. A 20 minute drive to Fornells is always a must for us too and we ate at El Pescador this time.We spent two afternoons at Arenal Castell beach which I absolutely love and I consider it to be one of the best of the numerous lovely beaches on the island. My son in law hired two bikes from the port nearby , offering the opportunity to see a little bit more of the local area and burn off a few calories in the process.
We always enjoy a barbecue when we hire a villa and I am pleased to say that the villa was suitably equipped for this too.
The owner was very helpful at all times from when I made the initial enquiries about renting ,up until the point when we left. She very kindly offered us the use of the villa after the usual 10 am deadline on the day of departure as nobody else was arriving to stay on that date. This was very helpful as our flight was not leaving until 8.30 in the evening. So we were able to enjoy the last day without the rush and inconvenience of the early morning start.
The villa served as a very comfortable base from which to experience all the delights that this beautiful island has to offer and we would certainly recommend it to friends and family.
Just spent a very enjoyable week with good friends at Villa Florent in Port Addaia and wished we had stayed longer. The villa has all the facilities you require and was clean, well equipped and much larger than you initially think. So plenty of space all round. Good size pool. Sarah, the owner was brill,in providing a full and prompt response to any questions. A very comprehensive information pack was also available inside the villa. The local area is quiet, but very pleasant for a stroll when heading to the nearby well stocked supermarket and bars. We ate in the El Castillo and Tapas bar, good food, and both were very friendly ( tip, you need to book in advance for both in high season ). All in all very good choice, and we all look forward to a return trip.
