Cottage in Stiffkey, North Norfolk - 2 Minutes Max Walk To The Marsh, Sea views

Barn style semi detached cottage finished to a high standard.

4 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 of the bedrooms & 1 bathroom are on the ground floor.

Large back garden and a lot of open space round about. Far reaching views. Very child friendly. There is a small wood 80 yards away that separates the land from the sea, then the National Trust owned marshes, access is free & un-restricted.

The very pretty & charming village is a short walk of about 10mins by footpath which runs past the back garden, with fields on both sides. This path accesses the village playing field.

Why stay in a noisy cramped B&B when you can stay here? A spacious cottage with large garden surrounded by fields. Access to the marsh couldn't be easier via a mown path.

The owner Patrick is married to Marelle and has 2 daughters Madeleine and Alexandra and one dog an English Springer Spaniel.

We live in Freckenham Suffolk so it does not take us long to get to Stiffkey. We go every weekend to ensure the cottage is up to standard. We do not just leave it for someone else..

Why Patrick Hickey chose Norfolk & The Broads

Mulberry Cottage was bought by my father in 1963 when the Anti Aircraft Training Camp was de-commissioned and sold. This building was part of the camp and was used as our family's holiday home so I have known it all my life. He gave this part to me in 2007 at which time it was renovated.

We all loved going there as children and now my family enjoy it. It is in an amazing location next to the marshes so we could just carry kayaks down to the creek and paddle off.

The cottage is down a private road together with 3 others. It is about 100 yards from the Stiffkey marshes accessed by a public path that runs past the back of the cottage. It is a very quiet peaceful location in sight of the marsh and the sea.

What makes this cottage unique

There is a large driveway with space for several cars.

The cottage offers comfortable accommodation on 2 floors with modern kitchen and bathrooms and all homely comforts. 4 bedrooms.

There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor which is ideal for those who find stairs a problem. This bathroom has a bath and a separate shower enclosure.

There is a large back garden enclosed with small mesh stock proof wire to keep children and dogs safe.

Notes on accommodation: Semi-detached cottage The cottage has a proper modern central heating system that is included in the price. It has stripped pine floors with rugs, there are no fitted carpets except on the stairs. Outside: Graveled driveway with space for several cars. Front open garden adjoining a grassed field over which you can walk to the marsh. There is a veranda at the front facing West with a bench, chairs & table. Ideal for some covered outside time, afternoon tea or reading the paper. There are outside lights. The back garden is fairly large laid to lawn enclosed with a stock proof fence to keep children safe. There is a patio with wooden furniture outside the kitchen door. Hose pipe, useful for washing the mud of the children! Utility Room: Front loading washing machine. Small fridge intended for drinks cooling. Doors leading out to the front and back. Iron, ironing board & clothes horse. Washing line in garden. Linen is provided. You must take your own towels.

Perfect place for peace and quiet and to get away from the pressures of the rat race

Excellent property and very accurate description. Furnished to a high specification and the owner has not skimped on the quality of the items in the house. Everything worked as it should and the house was very warm.

Beautiful location and literally a stone's throw to walk over the bank to the sea. Also only a short walk to the village store in Stiffkey which sells very nice freshly made croissants every day. (as well as various other items)

Owner was very quick to respond to any queries and a pleasure to deal with.

One of the best properties I have stayed in for a long while. Will try to visit again.
