Historic 3-bed cottage. Newly renovated to high standard, to combine comfortable contemporary design while maintaining historic features. Spacious living areas; large double height living room with wood burning stove, snug and large kitchen/dining room. Three bedrooms: 1 double (en suite), 2 twin. Oil fired central heating, telephone, WiFi, TV, hifi, dishwasher etc. Set in wooded grounds of 1/3 acre, parking for 3 cars. Situated in the Llanberis Pass (Snowdonia National Park) with views of Snowdon and direct access to some of the best walking and climbing in Wales. Snowdon summit 3 hours. Historic pub 5 mins walk. Llanberis (with supermarket, shops, cafes, lakes and Snowdon railway) 5 mins drive. Fine beaches of Anglesey just 30 mins drive, and Lleyn Peninsula 60 mins. Historic town of Caernarfon (15 mins), Conway (30 mins)

About Lesley Williams

We bought the cottage as a ruin 25 years ago, restored it ourselves and it has been a holiday home for our family ever since. Last year the property was completely renovated. We are keen climbers and over the years have explored most of the routes in the area.

Quirky property in goo dlocation

The property has been well renovated and has a quirky feel to it as well as in layout. It is located literally on the foot of Snowdon which gives great views weather permitting. Accessing the property by car can be a dangerous as its directly off a busy road and with the gate shut the car sticks out in to the road. The front door is in desperate need of some maintenance as one of the locks is coming away. The master bedroom & ensuite is very nice but the other two bedrooms are not really suitable for adults as there are height restrictions. The lounge and dining rooms are a good size with a cozy feel and comfortable but the TV is disproportionately small fro the size of ther room. WiFi worked well. Over all nice property in good loaction to explore Snowdonia, Angelsey and west coast but too expensive for what is offers.

Lovely cottage in great location for walking Snowdon

The cottage was extremely comfortable, warm & authentic. You could see it had been lovingly restored. The location was excellent, particularly for walking Snowdon. The owner was very helpful and responded swiftly to our queries which was much appreciated. Great pub, The Vaynol Arms, just 10 mins down the road which served good beer & wholesome food - exactly want we needed after our walking days. Lovely people too. We had a really lovely two week holiday and will definitely return when we get the chance.

A very enjoyable stay

This is a lovely, solid cottage, with beautiful views across the road and quick access to the starting points for Mount Snowdon hikes, which is a great asset because the parking lots fill up early. We had a wonderful time exploring the gorgeous surrounding area from this central location. As we expected, the weather wasn't perfect, but the snugness of the cottage was remarkable. We loved it. The two runners in the family found some great places to run. Our only initial challenge was the gate, but we soon overcame that as we realized there was room to pull the whole car off the road whilst we opened the gate.

Lovely cottage and great location!

We had a brilliant stay at Frongoch! The cottage was clean and cosy and had everything we needed for a fantastic weekend! It's in a great location for anyone looking to head up Snowdon and there's a lovely pub just down the road! We will definitely be looking to return in future.
