The property consists of an open plan living area including Victorian fireplace with a modern kitchen and modern bathroom (situated downstairs). The cottage benefits from full double glazing and new central heating system all installed within the last few years. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 single. There is a large well maintained private rear garden with plenty of outside seating. Parking is directly outside the cottage.

Mick & Linda have always loved the New Forest area and purchased the cottage and used as a second home for many years. We could not think of a lovelier area to spend time whether a day out or holiday.

Why Michael Fuller chose Lymington

We chose the Pennington/Lymington area as it has the best of both worlds the property being within the New Forest National park but only minutes from the sea and the lovely Georgian town of Lymington. The property looks out over common land yet local shops and a pub are less than a few hundred yards away and within a few minutes drive all the unique shops, pubs and restaurants around Lymington are there for all to enjoy.

What makes this cottage unique

The property offers a very tastefully and comfortably furnished living space being fully modernised with all new double glazing and,central heating system. It also retains some original features being a Character Victorian cottage. There are both coastal and forest walks with many other outdoor pursuits on the doorstep. Also easy access to many other attractions in the surrounding area. Parking is no problem directly outside the property.

Just got back after a lovely stay at the cottage. I have to say that the central heating works beautifully. I did need to turn it down a little from the pre set settings as it is very efficient and the cottage really retains the warmth well . This will be perfect for guests in the winter.

Thank you for making the cottage so welcoming and a home from home. My little 4 year old boy loved it and said he wanted to stay forever. Although the stairs are steep after a couple of uses he was able to easily get up and down unaided. The beds are super comfy and to have such lovely linen and towels to use was a real luxury.

Notes on accommodation: Important notes on Accommodation Unfortunately the property does not allow inside smoking. Small well behaved dogs are permitted and we ask that pets are not left in the property alone. Please be aware due to the age of the property the stairs are steep and care must be taken with small children and the elderly. Outside: Large private well maintaining cottage garden laid to lawn with flowerbeds and plenty of outdoor seating. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels included except beach towels. The property is cleaned between each let with towels and linen changed weekly. On request for a 2 week let a freshening up can be given. Other: Front door leads into small hallway housing wall mounted central heating system with area to hang coats.

Lovely quaint cottage

Cottage is very homely and has everything you need for a short break. My husband, 13yr old daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. My husband (6ft) struggled with the stairs and low bedroom door frame (sore head by end of week - he kept forgetting to duck!) but the description did prior warn of this. Lovely play park across the road for children and had a zip wire that entertained our 13yr old. 5min walk to Tesco express for all the basics and 5 min car drive into Lymington. The owner was very helpful with any queries we had beforehand. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely cottage with a real homely feel

This was our first visit to Lymington and The New Forest and we found the whole area brilliant for walking either in the many forest walks or around the marshes and a stop at The Chequers Inn on the marshes is recommended.

The cottage is spotless and fresh with a mature garden. The common over the road is perfect for walking the dogs at the end of the day. A 15 minute walk will get you to the town and if you get there early on Saturday there is a large market on the high street.

Sun cottage is a delight. It is beautifully decorated with a wonderful garden. It is well located within walking distance of shops and a stone's throw from a lovely playground.

Lovely cottage in great location.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sun Cottage. We're a small family with a young child and it was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and comfortable and full of character. The location was good for exploring lots of different areas of the New Forest and the coast. The playground opposite the cottage was great for our little one. Mick, the owner was kind and helpful. We will be recommending this place to friends & family.

Fantastic

It's small but perfectly formed. We had a great time and would come back again.

Also we highly recommend the White Hart pub just 10 minutes walk down the road.
