It is close enough to reach all that Lagos has to offer on foot, a car is not required. Guests staying in this lovely complex can enjoy the exquisitely maintained gardens with sun loungers and parasols. The garden area is gated to ensure it maintains its exclusivity and to provide privacy for its guests. There is only a small number of apartments on this highly sought after complex which has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and offers its guests the space to unwind and enjoy its fantastic facilities to enjoy. There is a great supermarket just across the road to the rear of the apartment which opens till 8:30 pm. There truly is something for everyone here and with everything on your doorstep, and it is also ideally suited for families. Balcony is secure for children, it is a easy and very scenic walk to town. The apartment and the complex very is secure. The balcony is a great sun trap ideal for lounging in the morning or morning breakfast, evening meals and drinks. There is free Wifi.

We live and work in London, we have three young children and we have been holidaying here from 2004. We appreciate and understand the demands of holidaying with young children, and Lagos, the surrounding area, the Algarve and our apartment works really well for us.

We as a family appreciate holidaying which is stress and hassle free, this apartment being fully equipped with all the necessary mod cons and set in a beautiful and award winning Lagos Marina on our door step, ensures a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

Being foodies we enjoy the various local restaurants both in the Marina and the old town, which offers traditional Portuguese dishes as well as cuisines form around the world.

June 2016 - Lovely stay

A family of 3 (2 adults and a 19 months old) stayed for a week in June 2016.

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. Had everything we needed (high chair and travel cot also provided). Apartment is well equipped with all mod-cons (Washing machine, dish washer, 2 good bathrooms with lots of hot water).

Agent met us at the apartment and although we didn't need them, they were available for any help we may have needed.

Apartment is well positioned. After a couple of days we got our bearings and found the best entrance to the beach for us (wanted to be near a restaurant/toilets). Beach absolutely beautiful (but see FREEZING!!!). Little boy loved playing in the sand all day.

We didn't use the pool much as it wasn't that busy at that time and little boy got a bit bored. Plenty of sunbeds and shade though.

Apartment is very near and big supermarket (5 mins walk) where you can get everything you need.

Would recommend Lagos and this apartment. Thank you for our stay!

A clean and secure, well positioned apartment

The property adhered well to the online description and was perfectly located in terms of access for local amenities and parking. We were met promptly by the maintenance staff who were very friendly at all times.

The apartment was clean, secure and comfortable with easily maintainable facilities. Unlike other accommodation I could mention it never once came close to letting us down on the supply of hot water - despite taking along our 2 teenage Daughters!

The complex itself was excellent for families with a pleasant atmosphere and no disturbance from other guests.

The resort of Lagos is easily accessible in terms of restaurants, beaches and a very attractive Marina.

I'd recommend the apartment to anyone - you'll have a great time!

Lovely 2 bedroom apartment in a great location

We booked this apartment due to the size and location. The Marina is excellent and we didn't have to walk far to find lovely bars and restaurants plus there is a very large supermarket across the road which was ideal.

We had our 8 month daughter with us so the location was ideal - short walk to the marina and about 20 mins to the town where there are ample restaurants to choose from. The only slight negative for us was that all the paths were cobbles which was not ideal when we wanted her to sleep at night as she quickly woke up!!

The apartment was lovely and spacious, 2 bedrooms was ideal so that we could have our own rooms, the kitchen has everything that you would need for self-catering and if you have a young baby, both cot and highchair were provided for free of charge. We ate in the apartment a number of times at night - the supermarket has excellent fish and meat counters plus freshly cooked chicken for take away.

The swimming pool is great and there is a children's pool. There are a lot of sunbeds but towards our second week as it got busier there was a need to get down early as generally by 11.00 it was full.

The owner was amazing and answered my numerous questions before we went and was extremely helpful which we appreciated. We were met on time at the apartment and on the day of checkout our departure was not until late afternoon but we were given the use of another apartment for the rest of the day which was ideal.

The website states checkout is at 11am but we were asked to leave at 9.45am - this was quickly resolved though.

I would say the only slight downside to the apartment is the location to the main road - it was constantly busy and could be fairly noisy even in the middle of the night.

I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Fantastic weekend break

We chose this apartment for its perfect location and we were very happy we did! A lovely, modern and spacious apartment that has everything you need for a self catering holiday. We went for our 15th anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

The location is ideally suited for shopping, eating out and there are lots of places of interest and activities to do. There is a supermarket a few minutes walk from the apartment which is fantastic for all the things we needed for our stay. A scenic stroll along the marina takes you into the picturesque town where you will be spoilt with the many choices of cafes and restaurants. Pop into the market where they sell fish caught in the morning and for local fruit and veg as well as the yummy pastel de natas in the numerous eating places.

A few mins walk will take you to the beach near town; absolutely stunning and clean as are all the beaches nearby! There is a swimming pool downstairs from the apartment which is exclusively for the residents to use.

Although the apartment is well equipped for cooking, we did try out the local restaurants as well and would recommend 'Gilberto's' for authentic Portuguese dishes. For a pick me up go to 'Pingo Doce' for coffee and pastries- perfect for after the shopping's done!

We stayed for a long weekend but wished it was longer, I certainly will book at this apartment again and will take the kids with me.

If you choose to stay here a car isn't really necessary as everything is within walking distance. We found the owner extremely helpful and answered all of my questions as well as suggested places for us to visit which was much appreciated.

It really is a beautiful apartment in a gorgeous location perfect for a fantastic holiday!

Marina De Lagos Lovely Apartment

If you are looking for a holiday location with lots to offer Lagos is the place for you, and this apartment ticks all the boxes. We have been to Lagos four times, and would return again as it has something for everyone. There is the modern marina area with good resaurants and bars within 5 minutes of the apartment, and also the old town with interesting shops and fabulous restaurants within 10 minutes. There are three beaches with beach bars to suit all tastes.

This apartment block is well situated for all of the above, but in a quiet spot with a lovely pool, suitable for children. It is great to sit on the balcony for breakfast looking out over the marina and the pool. The sun is on the balcony for at least half the day. The apartment is so spacious it will spoil you for other apartments and is well equipped. We would stay there again and that says it all. Also there is a supermarket within a stones throw of the apartment with fantastic cakes, cheap wine and bread ! What more could you ask !!!

A week in Lagos

We had a lovely relaxing week with our 15 and 10 year old. The apartment was very spacious for the four of us with everything we needed to be self sufficient for the week, there is a well stocked supermarket 5 minutes away. The apartment is clean and well maintained.There is a good sized pool in a secure area which didn't get too busy even when most of the apartments were occupied We ate out most of the time at the many cafes and restaurants along the marina. The Marina Bar was a particular favourite with the kids, the staff are friendly, the service and food are good and the prices are reasonable. The marina provides a real focal point with its many yachts and speed boats. The short trip on the Lagos land train is worth the 3 euros to get your bearings of the Lagos area. We would recommend this apartment.

We purchased this property in this stunningly beautiful location primarily because of the convenience of the local amenities, and the ease with which we can travel from England. The western Algarve provides a range of different activities to suit all ages and interests. The Algarve is undoubtedly a region of outstanding natural beauty, and Lagos is very well located, which provides easy access to the Eastern and Western Algarve, surrounded by beautiful and undulating scenery. In addition, Lagos being a coastal town, there are many clean and stunning beaches that can be accessed from the apartment by either a short walk or as short drive away. Being on the Marina, the shops in town and supermarkets are easily accessible from the apartment. The nearest supermarket Pingo Doce is across the road. In addition to the private pool on our complex, there is a local modern leisure center with latest equipment and facilities within 5 minutes walk, which provide a whole host of sporting activities, as well as beauty treatments.

Coast/Beach:

The apartment is a 10 min walk from the beautiful and long beach of Meia Praia, which has good and family friendly eateries. From the waterfront you can enjoy many day trips and activities including dolphin safaris, diving, fishing boat excursions, para gliding and boat trips to the grottos.

Travel:

Faro is well serviced airport from international locations: EasyJet, RyanAir, Jet2, Monarch, BA, BmiBaby and Flybe. From the airport the apartment is a pleasant 45 min drive along a quiet roads either the N125 or the A22 motorway. Private airport transport companies also available. Once there, a car is not needed as everything is within walking distance. Should you prefer to hire a car there is ample free parking at the complex.

Distances:

The apartments are ideally located within walking distance of the bus and train station where transport can be found to all of the many attractions of the Algarve, including the water parks, Zoo Marine, Zoo, Algarve shopping centre, Cape de St. Vincent, shops & cafe, supermarket, bars. Restaurants and the waterfront is 5 mins walk away, golf courses approx 10 mins drive. Plenty of boat rides and excursions available from the Marina.

Further Details:

The Marina complex is the place to stay to enjoy the many attractions of Lagos, East and Western Algarve. Quality restaurants, bars, shops, a large supermarket and many cafes can be reached within a five minutes walk. Car hire is not essential as all amenities are close by, though if guests want to explore the wider Algarve car hire may be considered, because Lagos Marina is a great place to base oneself to explore the wonders of the Algarve. The complex benefits from a 24 hour security all year and because it is part of the award winning Marina hotel complex, is maintained to an extremely high standard.

Within the Marina Complex, our apartment block is unique in that it has two private swimming pools for adults and children (infants). This is a feature that we use as a family and the children thoroughly enjoy it. The block is secure and gated. Both our balconies at the front and back are made secure for infants and toddlers providing a safe area for them to play in. There is also a play area in the complex. Lagos offers a fresh market, where one can buy fresh fish, vegetables, fruits as well as local produce daily. There is spectacular views of the Marina and the hills behind Lagos from the apartment. The marina provides a whole host of activities, from hiring boats out for the day for tours and for fishing, to scuba diving, fishing in the sea/river. As well as numerous restaurant and cafes to sample the authentic Portuguese food, deserts and wines.
