Villa in El CapistranoVillage, Nerja, Costa del Sol, Spain - , 1.5 Kms From Picturesque Nerja Town And Beautiful Beaches

The villa is located toward the edge of El Capistrano village with its beautiful landscaped gardens and Andalucian architecture. It is very spacious with 2 bedrooms and terraces and balconies overlooking the mountains and sea. There is a further double bedroom with en suite below the terrace entered from the garden. There is a private garden and the sun is on the terrace most of the day with sunbeds for your use. The village is pedestrianised so very safe for children. There are 3 communal pools and 2 childrens pools. On site there is the famous Cave bar with free wifi, and restaurants for fine dining and more causal meals. The pools have snack bars. There is a supermarket, doctors, laundrette etc. and a very friendly reception where the staff will show you to the villa and help you with any queries. Nerja town has many restaurants, bars and clubs. Fabulous shops and the famous Balcone de Europe overlooking the sea. It is 1.5km away which can be walked or a taxi is only 7 euros. Buriana beach with it's water sports and restaurants is a similar distance . There is free wifi in the villa

About AMANDA FULLER

My parents have owned the villa since the 1980s when El Capitstrano village had just been built. Unfortunately my father died a few years ago so my brothers and I have done it up and are renting it out to cover the annual costs so that my Mother can keep it and we can all enjoy lovely family holidays there.

Everybody who stays there enjoys if from my 20 year old niece who takes friends and goes clubbing to friends with small children and just couples on their own.

Why AMANDA FULLER chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

Friends lived in Nerja and we went to visit them and fell in love with the town. El Capistrano Village had just been build so my parents bought a villa there.

What makes this villa unique

The property is only 40 minutes from Malaga airport, just outside Nerja which is a really beautiful, unspoiled Spanish town.

It is 5 minute drive to the beach and there is a bus from the villa, there also other secluded beaches within easy reach.

The villa is detached and very spacious unlike some in Capistrano and as it is at the edge of the village it has unobstructed views of the of the mountains and the sea.

It also has a private walled garden mostly shaded which is ideal for small children and parking right outside the garden which is also something other villas don't have.

The landscaped gardens and walk ways in Capistrano make the short walk to the pools or shops an absolute pleasure.

There are also many lovely villages to explore up in the hills behind Nerja.

We stayed for a week at the beginning of May and had wall to wall sunshine, so used the village pool as well as many dips in the near by sea.

Fantastic location right on the edge of the village with sea views, tranquillity perfect spot to relax and unwind taking advantage of the lovely patio.

The Villa was lovely with plenty and facilities including the very important mosquito netting.

Nerja itself is a beautiful Historic Town that captures Spanish tradition of cobbled streets, open air restaurants, shops and lots, lots more. CHRISTINE ROWLEY 2014

Spanish charm

We had a lovely stay at this house, we found the location charming , the shops and the beach all nearby and the atmosphere of the village style urbanisation really made for a pleasant holiday break.The communal pool areas were well maintained ,and perhaps because of the time of year quiet and restful to lounge about doing nothing just what a holiday should be .

Very pretty holiday village with stunning views

Very picturesque and charming area of Nerja. The holiday provided a perfect place to relax and unwind and the position of the property itself, set on the edge of the village provided peace, privacy and calm, although there was a road running alongside the property from which you could hear traffic at times during the night. The property provided everything necessary for a holiday with a homely feel and freedom to eat in or eat out without the restrictions of hotel dining hours.There were pools within the village as well as a lovely bar and restaurant, so it wasn't always necessary to venture too far if you wished to remain close to the property.

The walk to the beach was only 15 or so minutes downhill, but walking back required some stamina, especially when it was hot. This didn't put us off however, we just needed to be prepared to tackle it when we'd finished our time on the beach. We did walk into Nerja town a couple of times, which probably took around 20 to 25 minutes, but buses run every hour (not always on time) stopping the service for a few hours in the afternoon for siesta time, costing only 1 euro. Taxis are available and do not cost very much.

The caves of Nerja are well worth visiting and although we didn't hire a car we went into Nerja town and bought tickets for the land train which took you there. The price is 15 euros but this includes admission to the Museum in town and a stop in Maro if you want to get off and explore..

All in all, a very good holiday and one I would recommend.

Capistrana village is nice with well tended gardens,villa was in need of updating!

Villa was very tired,a good size but with very old furniture,kitchen was very scary,dark ancient cupboards,lots of ants,no light just a very depressing room! Everything needed updating,needs a new kitchen,bathroom with a proper shower and new sofas as very uncomfortable.

Villa could be lovely if had more of a modern touch to it,very dissapointed as our holiday wasn't all it could of been.

Owner's Response: I am very sorry that the decor in the villa wasn't to your liking and we are in the process of replacing the sofa. As you can see from the photos on the website the villa is in a traditional Spanish style and not modern. The  kitchen is larger than most with a large window. Again sorry you were unhappy.

Lovely place in lovely location, just a few tweeks to make it 5 star

The Villa is in the lovely El Capistrano village in Nerja and cant askf ro a more serene and lovely place to stay, especially for families.

Weather was great, facilities in the village are great.

Few tweeks would be great to make the Villa itself top notch.

A little welcome pack of details about recycling and rubbsih disposal.

Also a few things for the kitchen would be ideal like washing up supplies and also a inexpensive firelighter for the hob as the igniter didnt work.

And also some things about local places to visit or good restaurants to try as with all travel its hit and miss first time there.

Other than that, the Vilal was great and helpful in having a high chair and cot provided for our arrival.

Great house in a beautiful area of nice Nerja!

The house is great, big enough for many people, and with wonderful balconies with great views, Nice for breakfast, lunch and evenings. The area is great with beautiful streets with trees and flowers and a very good pool area. Possible to rent chairs or sit on the grass. Nice little bar too!

Nerja is close enough to walk to or you can take the car and it is ok to park downtown Nerja and walk to the beaches or to restaurants.

We spent a week during a hot July and an A/C would have been nice but we managed !

All contact with the owner worked out smoothly which was great. I want to come back now!

Great house in a fanatstic area of lovely Nerja!

We stayed for 7 nights in this really nice house. We loved the area with the nice streets, beautiful trees and flowers and the great pool area.

The house is big enough for at least 4 people (our family = 4!) with two nice balconies for breakfast, lunch , dinner, evenings ....

Since we were here during a very hot week of July A/C would have been nice but it worked out anyway...

Close enough to walk to beaches / downtown Nerja but also easy to take the car and park downtown or close to a beach.

Nerja is really a beautiful place! Lots of things / places nearby to visit.

All the Contact with the owner worked out very smoothly which was very good.

Notes on accommodation: If a cot is needed it will be provided free of charge but you must let us know before hand that it is needed. The same applies if an extra bed is required. There is free wifi at reception area and in the Cuava Bar and wifi can be arranged in the villa. Outside: The is a private walled garden with the villa and beautiful landscaped gardens and pathways in the village covered in amazingly coloured flowers. There is a terrace outside the living area with a beautiful unobstructed view of the mountains and sea which gets the sun all day. There are two sunbeds on it and a table and chairs. Both bedrooms have a shared balcony also with extraordinary views. There are 3 large communal pools within minutes of the villa one of which is heated and open all year. There are also separate childrens pools. El Capistrano village is a pedestrianised and cobbled and a delight to explore, with a pretty restaurant overlooking one of the pools the famous cave bar which also serves food. There is a well stocked supermarket and many other amenities. Utility Room: There is a washing machine in the basement available for guests use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa will be cleaned when you leave at no extra cost and if you are there for more than a week and would like maid service and towels changed this can be arranged at reception but will be charged for. Other: Downstairs toilet.
