Close to Carihuela Beach - most beautiful in area. quiet location. but very central

Our one bedroom ground floor apartment is situated in Montemar, near Carihuela Village and is just a few minutes from the beautiful Carihuela Beach, regarded as the best in the area..

The apartment has one bedroom, with sliding, mirrored wardrobes, and a luxury mattress double bed. There is a good supply of sheets, towels, duvets etc. stored in the wardrobe with plenty of storage space. The apartment is well equipped with cutlery, tableware, glassware, everything you need for a comfortable stay, including the iron and ironing board, though you might like to bring extra beach towels. In the wardrobe are beach mats, hair dryer etc

The living room has a large sofa which converts into a double bed for the odd guest etc. There is a dining area, coffee table, a cupboard which stores a large selection of DVDs, Videos, a DVD player, a VHS player and a television set., which receives all BBC and ITV channels The other cupboard stores cutlery, cups, plates, bowls, and extra kitchen cooking utensils etc.

The tiled bathroom has a bath and shower, flush toilet and bidet, mirrored wash basin, storage cupboard and extractor fan.

The tidy kitchen has a washing machine . modern cooking hobs, a micro wave, toaster, kettle,snd refrigerator..

The building is a Spanish style building called Edificio 'Sol Y Sol' ('Sun and Sun') in the heart of Costa Del Sol, an area renowned for it's beautiful sandy beaches, which are just a 4 minute walk from the apartment. Sol Y Sol building also has a beautiful, large swimming pool, with showers and toilets. This is for the exclusive use of residents and guests.

Montemar is between Benalmadena and Torremolinos. Very popular area due to it's fantastic weather throughout the year, and the area is acknowledged as having the best climate in Europe,

The apartment is set in a central quiet location with all amenities close by - beach, long promenade with beach restaurants and bars,,wonderful Spanish fish restaurants in Carihuela Village (try the one in the square by the fountain) bars, chemist, health clinic, opposite our back gate.,call cabins etc.. For a selection of International restaurants and bars, just turn right at the corner chemists..

The Local large hotels often offer evening entertainment which costs nothing.

Outside the front door of the building is a bus stop, with frequent buses to Torremolinos, Malaga etc. Across the road buses take you to Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Arroyo De La Miel, Mijas, Ronda, Marbella etc. and fares are cheap.

Our ground floor terrace balcony is well equipped with tables chairs etc and faces the sun all day. it is set by a sweet garden..

The apartment has air conditioning, but we would be grateful if you would turn it off when you go out.as electricity is very expensive !..

From Malaga, if you are feeling adventurous . you can take buses and or the train to other parts of Andalucia,

Seville, Granada etc.

Benalmadena offers lively night life during the Summer months, as does Torremolinos, but Montemar is central to both but well away from any noise!

My wife and I have had a lot of happy holidays in our apartment with our two kids when they were little.

With the beautiful Carihuela beach minutes away, we ran and played on the sand, swam in the sea, ate in the local restaurants, and had fun and laughter with friends.

Then off to Benalmadena Marina to see the millionaire's yachts, or a visit to Tivoli World, a great day out where you can buy a day ticket and go on all the rides and see all the shows. This is a wonderful area, with fantastic weather all year round, acknowledged as having one of the best climates in Europe.

My wife and I and our family live in London and we both work in the entertainment industry. It can be stressful and a break in Sol Y Sol is a great tonic, and sets you up to face the challenges ahead.

We let it to singles, couples or couples with a young child only, as our main priority is for our guests to have a comfortable, enjoyable holiday.

The area is wonderful in that it is great for young and old. All our guests remark on it's happy atmosphere and convenient central location. Hope you enjoy it too!

My wife and I had spent two years in Nairobi in Kenya East Africa working for a theatre company. At the time, Kenya was a wonderful place to live, and work took us to beautiful places like Mombasa, Lamu Island etc

We returned to London in the mid winter and were freezing!

In January we searched around to go somewhere with sunshine for a break that did not cost the earth and was not too far away. We took a gamble on Costa Del Sol and was amazed how beautiful the area and the weather was for that time of year. Flowers and sunshine looked great to us!

The apartment was an 'impulse' buy, but thankfully it worked out very happily, and it has given us great times over the years. The residents in the building were mostly British and very friendly and helpful.

The swimming pool is a joy to have so near our apartment, literally a few yards away, and the beach being a short walk away is great as well.

It is a compact property in a quiet, central location. The sun shines on our ground floor terrace all day. I love the weather, beach, food, the sea, the cleanliness. The area is select, and relaxing, the beautiful promenade leads to the Marina and Benalmadena, and heading the other way towards Carihula village some of the best fish restaurants in Andalucia..

The residents are very friendly and welcoming.

The apartment is part of a private residence with a walled, small flowerfilled garden, secure entrances, huge swimming pool. To get to the beach, step outside our back gate and it's a short walk down a quiet road.

Bus stops outside the front door bring you quickly to Torremolinos and Malaga. Across the road the bus brings you to Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Arroyo De La Miel, Mijas, etc and fares are cheap. There is an amazing amount to see and do, a guests information book in the apartment will help you decide or simply enjoy the great locality.

Within our courtyard, there is a large, beautiful residents swimming pool flanked by gardens, with showers, loungers and chairs. A communal barbecue is also located in the courtyard. The terrace of our apartment has it's own garden furniture, sun-lounger, table and chairs and the small four storey Spanish style building is home to friendly, helpful residents. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included, extra sheets, blankets, duvets are stored in the large sliding wardrobe in the bedroom. Apartment cleaned after every let. Weekly laundry service. Apartment managed by Marge Terry, a resident, formerly from Birmingham.

Excellent location - sunny all day- no hills

Very comfortable apartment. Excellent owner who provided everything we needed for a long winter stay (9 weeks). Location was very central and getting around no problem at all as buses stop outside apartment block.

All English TV channels which we greatly appreciated. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Great little apartment so quite never slept so much great pool area great for couples or in our case with our son next to all the best little bars 2 mins to local supermarket and beach loads to do been in same area the last 20 odd yrs and still find something new to do
