A beautiful home with all the little extras you want for a perfect week or weekend. Beds very comfortable with the best mattress I have ever slept on. Wish it was my main home. St Davids town very friendly and the eating establishments wonderful. Thank you for a super weekend!

Wonderful house in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Stylishly and thoughtfully decorated house with everything you could possibly need. Also very clean (it even smells wonderful!). Walled/fenced back garden so the dog was safe. Cannot fault our holiday!

Simply perfect!

  • 5 of 5

From the start to the finish of our wonderful week in St David's, we felt at home! Such a bright and airy property, so clean and well equipped, it's impossible to see how anything could be improved upon. Ty Morlo's location in this delightful little city is ideal, giving us walking access to all parts. We loved the kitchen and garden - eating on the patio at breakfast and again in the evening. The beds and linen were a delight too and the bathroom exactly what was required. Thank you to Martha for making such a perfect holiday home available to us and to Louise for her unobtrusive and efficient caretaking. We certainly plan to return.

A wonderful Christmas break

  • 5 of 5

The house is ideally situated within St. David's,close to amenities and only a couple of minutes walk to the Cathedral . Inside, the house is spotlessly clean, beautifully finished and equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. We had a truly wonderful Christmas break - an absolute 'must return' location.

OUTSTANDING!

  • 5 of 5

What a cottage!

It was spotlessly clean, furnished to a very high standard and the location simply could not have been better. The sun room and the enclosed garden were the icing on the cake for us. We would definately stay here again and have recommended it to friends already.

Highlights in and around St Davids included eating at "The Bishops", the Cathedral, Ramsey Island and the whale-watching trip.......we saw whales and dolphins!

Apologies for taking so long to review since our stay - family illness has dominated things since our stay at Ty Morlo.

A real home from home

  • 5 of 5

This 5 star property, right in the heart of St Davids felt like a real home from home for my family and I. It really is in a superb location in the small 'city' and although you park nearby as opposed to outside that really poses no problem at all - with a nearby reserved parking space and ample space to stop outside to unload the car it was absolutely fine. It is very tastefully decorated throughout with quality pieces of furniture and beautiful touches making it really feel special. Each bedroom has it's own feel and with white linen throughout it looked lovely and fresh. The heavy wooden doors and cupboards made from solid wood are absolutely gorgeous.

The kitchen is fabulous, with more than ample kitchen utensils & crockery for every guest and a wonderful, large table that seated everyone comfortably.

Outside the garden is beautiful - very private with a large table and plenty of chairs. The sun seemed to stay in the garden all day long.

The location is perfect - all the shops are just a minute or so away on foot and the best beach in the UK, Whitesands Bay is literally a 5 minute drive up the road.

Overall we had a wonderful holiday at Ty Morlo and will definitely visit again.

I'm pleased you like the central location too; we're lucky to have the garden too which is a wonderful little sun trap. Thank you for your positive comments about our furniture and linen. Feedback is so important to us, and it's fantastic to hear that your stay was so enjoyable and comfortable. I look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Ticks all the boxes!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family have just returned from a delightful stay at Ty Morlo during Half Term. The cottage is perfectly located in the centre of this lovely town, with all amenities on the doorstep. It was great to leave the car firmly parked up and explore most of the area on foot!!

The cottage itself was spotlessly clean on arrival with nice bedlinen and towels provided.

The kitchen is a great size with access to the secure sunny garden and all utensils and glasses/pots/pans/knives etc are good quality.

Bathroom was great with good shower over the bath and nice toiletries provided.

Nice touches of artwork, cushions etc dotted around which gave it less of a 'rental' feel.

Lots of activities on offer if you're so inclined....our 14yr old twins particularly loved coasteering with TYF and high speed boat trips with Venturejet.

Stunning coastal path is about 10 mins on foot, and local beach takes 5-10mins down slope/steps....

Good choice of local pubs and independent restaurants and a supermarket 5 mins walk and a couple of takeaways if you don't fancy cooking!

We would all thoroughly recommend this property and St Davids itself and Martha was extremely helpful throughout the booking process.

Location

From the Owner

I first visited St. Davids for a birthday celebration, and we've been coming back ever since. It was always our dream to buy a house here and we've finally realised it.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach, Caerfai is approximately 10 minutes walk from the house. There's a car park and nearby shop in the high season. Fairly small and approached down a relatively steep path.

Beautiful Whitesands Bay is 5 minutes by car. Facilities include a car park, cafe, toilets, surf school and wet suit hire, lifeguards. No dogs between 1st May and 30th September.

Travel:

Haverfordwest rail station is within 16 miles.

Fishguard ferry within 15 miles.

There are regular coastal buses linking to places of local interest (pick up point right outside Ty Morlo) and national bus services to/from St Davids.

Distances:

Supermarket -200m

Chemist 100m

Solva- 3 miles

Further Details:

Apart from the beaches and beautiful coastal paths, some of our favourite things in St. Davids include the Cathedral, the tiny fishing port of Porthgain, and the blue lagoon at Abereiddy with its vividly blue water. It's here that the Red Bull Cliff Diving event takes place. It's a brilliant place for daredevils to jump in, albeit from the lower platforms above the lagoon; our children have spent many a happy hour here doing just that!. Take one of the many boat trips in late summer and you will be rewarded with wonderful sightings of seal pups. Our house, Ty Morlo, is named after the seals which our children have so enjoyed sighting. Melin Tregwnt is a beautiful whitewashed mill, situated in a remote forested valley on the Pembrokeshire coast. There has been a mill on the site since the 17th century. You can enjoy some of their products in the cottage. And best of all, the great outdoors! St Davids has everything you need for an active holiday, whether you like walking, surfing, coasteering, sailing, kayaking – you name it! St. Davids also boasts some fabulous restaurants and galleries offering something for all the family.
