About the Owner

We are a retired couple, living in Somerset and bought our apartment new a few years ago.

We drive down at least twice a year subject partly to bookings. It is therefore available all year. See the calender showing weeks already booked.

Nice property but misleading advert

Firstly I will say that the property itself was ok. Not exceptional but perfectly ok for a holiday home. We enjoyed our two weeks there. However, as a family we required 2 things from the holiday we chose this year, a pool and internet access. This property appeared to tick both boxes.

However, despite the property being advertised with "Free Wi Fi internet access available", there is no WiFi access at the property at all. Just before the trip, and after we had paid in full, we were given directions to various places (one in the village which only worked for 4 out of our 14 days) and the rest in another town several miles away. When I complained the owner seemed surprised and couldn't understand why I felt mislead. I replied that I did not find this acceptable and he ignored this 2nd email completely.

I do not feel that I got what I paid for.

We were looking for a modern property with pool in a quiet area yet close to beaches and other amenities.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Toulon or Nice at 21 Miles Nearest Restaurant : L'Auberge at 200 Metres Nearest Beach : Cogolin Plage at 8 Miles Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

Across the Argens estuary the coast road continues past St Aygulf, Les Issambres, Ste Maxime and Port Grimaud at the foot of the Massif des Maures - home to wild tortoises and charming hill villages like Plan-de-la-Tour and La Garde-Freinet. These highlands hug the Golfe de St Tropez, sheltering its golden beaches and racy resort. Offshore lies lovely Porquerolles, largest of the Iles d'Hyeres, accessible by boat from resorts like Cavalaire-sur-Mer, Le Lavandou and Hyeres.

Travel:

Exclusive villas nestle in seclusion on the Cap d'Antibes, Cap Ferrat and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin headlands, while just up the coast lies the tiny kingdom of Monaco. Looking down on this scene are the attractive hill villages of Eze, Haut-de-Cagnes, St-Paul-de-Vence and Biot. Inland, Grasse - perfume capital of the world - sits in its own sea of lavender fields.

Distances:

By far the largest resort on this coastal strip is Nice, whose sandy beaches, temperate climate, atmosphere and good transport links attract visitors year-round. Nearby lie the yachting mecca of Antibes; Cagnes-sur-Mer, where Renoir retired; and Villefranche-sur-Mer, with its beautiful harbour.

St Tropez remains a unique and popular destination , decorated with cafes and shops to suit all needs, boutiques and a vibrant night life.

La Mole is a small pretty village and our apartment is about 200 metres from the main road in a quiet area with plenty of parking. There are 2 restaurants in the village including the renowned L'Auberge De La Mole, a bolangerie with bread baked from an old fashioned oven to give a lovely flavour and a small modern supermarket. Only 8 km away is a new Hypermarket and the town of Cogolin.
