Located amongst farmland on the western edge of Sheffield, approx 15 minutes from university and teaching hospitals. The cottage has a comfortable sitting room with wood burning stove and is also centrally heated throughout

Rivelin Valley, Mayfield Valley and Sheffield

The Rivelin Valley lies approximately five miles west of Sheffield City Centre. The valley is three and a half miles long and follows the course of the River Rivelin, a fast flowing river that drains the moorland peat.

Although most of the mills and wheels have now disappeared, the ponds that were created to feed them are still present throughout the valley. Some have been restored by Yorkshire Wildlife and the Ponds Conservation Trust.
