The resort of Puerto Pollensa has everything to offer, wonderful scenery, beautiful beaches and a laid-back friendly atmosphere. The sheltered horseshoe shaped bay is set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range. Puerto Pollensa is a favourite with both families and couples and many come back year after year. Cala Ventura building is a newly available luxurious and modern apartment block, in a great location only a 5mins walk to the beautiful beach of Pollensa and 15mins walk along the promenade to the main Port of Pollensa. The property has a lovely large separate kitchen which leads on to the open lounge / dinning room. The apartment has a wide, balcony that fits a large dining table, perfect for dining alfresco. Over looking the mountains and south/east facing it has a good amount of sun on the terrace all day. There is a large communion swimming pool with a good amount of sun bathing area around it.

Could do better

We had 3 teenagers in our group so were looking for a central location. This apartment was just off the square so we expected some noise. We were right opposite the only nightclub in town though and the noise some nights was a bit excessive. Not suitable if you have young children. The good stuff: The apartment is a good size, decent beds and spacious bathrooms. The air conditioning is excellent with no timers so you could use it as you wanted. There are 2 little balconies good for drying clothes or for late evening sun. The appliances all worked well and were easy to use. The bad: the apartment was really short of some basic things such as enough crockery and glasses. Fortunately we don't eat in but if we had we would have struggled. A new dinner set and perhaps some Tupperware to use to take picnics to the beach would be an inexpensive but worthwhile addition. The towels supplied were small, old and some were badly marked. Again, it would have made a huge difference just to have some decent towels. Finally the outside area. This is a nice space with loads of shade which is great for those who burn or don't like too much sun. The pool isn't huge but was sufficient for our needs. Unfortunately it just wasn't well enough maintained. We had a private villa last year which was so much cleaner and well looked after than this pool which was for the use of around 20 apartments. Overall it was okay value for money but a few changes could have made a real difference to my score.

Large apartment, noisy location

On arrival we were very pleased, this is a lovely very large apartment and very nicely furnished. We met Dan at the apartment who showed us around and was helpful.

The area around the pool is huge with lots of space for sunbathing etc, the pool could actually be a lot better/bigger.

The down side, for us (family with a young child) was a club across the road. It was very noisy at nighttime.
