Five Bedroom Holiday Home In The Heart Of The New Forest

Updated: 14-Nov-2016
Large Family House And Garden, A Short Walk From The Centre Of Lyndhurst

This is a large family home, which we aim to maintain to the highest standards. It has plenty of accommodation for 10 people in five bedrooms, each with it's own individual character. The spacious kitchen is a highlight, offering a great space for everyone to relax and enjoy mealtimes. Situated in Lyndhurst village, it offers an ideal base from which to explore the New Forest, and is also just a short drive from the coast. In a quiet residential area, it's an ideal location for family gatherings (not the place for loud parties though!) Please see our website for availability and booking information.

A really good place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The photos do not do it justice. We were very blessed with good weather and the doors were open a lot of the time. The garden was ideal for our 3 small grandchildren with plenty of shade. The property was very clean and well maintained. Nicky was quick to respond to all my queries. We would be very happy to recommend. Pepper Pig World was a must but also enjoyed walks in the Forest and round the Town of Lyndhurst. So much more we could have done...

Brilliant Golden Wedding venue for 3 generations

  • 5 of 5

The house and garden exceeded our expectations, but we were glad we'd recc'd it earlier, as could be difficult to find in the dark! Three generations, from Hampshire, Ealing and Bangkok, gathered for a long weekend to celebrate our Golden Wedding. All agreed it was the best self-catering venue they'd visited, from the large kitchen/breakfast room and dining room to the massive lounge and the lovely themed bedrooms. The teenagers especially appreciated room to do their own things, including cricket in the garden. They also tried horse riding and nearby walks. The kitchen was very well equipped and the wine and welcome card were pleasant touches. We would certainly recommend Timbers to friends, as we were recommended.

Very homely and lots of space, has everything

Family birthday weekend, the house was perfect the photos do not do it justice. The rooms were lovely and big the bathrooms very modern and very clean. The kitchen space is brilliant and fitted 8 adults and 3 children comfortably. I bet it's lovely in the summer with the bi-fold doors to a very beautiful big mature garden!! The house is postioned well very close to shops and forest. Had a really nice stay would highly recommend. Many thanks Nicky always responds very quick and is very helpful

Lovely house

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely, clean and comfortable house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, making full use of the spacious kitchen and child friendly garden. We planned to return next year but were disappointed to find that our chosen week was already booked. However, I am sure that we will be back.

great break

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here when catching up with friends scattered across the country. Perfect location to walk in the forest or to head out for day trips. Pictures don't do the house justice, it is very well presented with decent sized rooms and a lovely social kitchen when everyone can sit at the table - although there is a good size dining room too. We had a great stay and would highly recommend Timbers. Dealing with the owners were very good, with quick responses and always happy to help.

From the Owner

This is the house we grew up in, and where we still meet up for family gatherings. It's a great place to get away to - although Lyndhurst is very busy in the summer, this house and garden is a relaxing place to spend time. Walks in the forest are a big attraction - usually with a stop at a pub somewhere along the route!

From the Owner

Being in the Forest, close to the coast, and with Southampton, Lymington and Bournemouth within easy reach, it means you can always find things to do or places to visit. On the other hand there is plenty of space in and around the house, so there's room for everyone to do their own thing, if you just want to stay put and take it easy.
