About the property

Cottage in Solva Harbour Village, Nr. St. Davids, Pembrokeshire, Wales - Peaceful Location, Within Easy Reach Of Solva Harbour Restaurants And Bars

'Caswell' is a delightful, recently refurbished welsh stone cottage just minutes from the Coastal Path in Solva, one of Pembrokeshire's most picturesque villages. The cottage comprises of a comfortable living room with original wood beams and stone floor and a fully equipped kitchen/dining room downstairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (2 x double, 1 x single) and a large modern back bathroom, all tastefully decorated with bespoke soft furnishings. Outside to the back of the cottage is a pretty garden and patio area with off-road parking for one vehicle and additional roadside parking at the front. It is within easy reach of Solva Harbour with its tea rooms, pubs and shops, whilst the village is an ideal base from which to explore the coastal path, fantastic local beaches, stunning coastline and sites of historic interest such as nearby St Davids (3 miles away) and the natural beauty of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and its wildlife.

A charming very well appointed cottage ideal for a relaxing holiday exploring Pembrokeshire.

My wife and I needed a short break for a change of scene and we booked Caswell for three nights in June 2017. The cottage exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it for a relaxing break close to amenities but still "away from it all". Great care and imagination have been taken with the décor to create just the right ambience. The equipment provided in the kitchen is comprehensive and of good quality and the private garden permits eating inside and out. Solva itself is a good base from which to explore this lovely party of the world. The cottage itself is in Upper Solva but there is a section of coast path from the cottage down to Lower Solva with pubs, cafes and shops for browsing in. When the opportunity presents itself I am sure we will return.

Second visit to. Caswell

  • 5 of 5

Superb, roomy cottage with garden and parking, in a great location. This was our second stay in this rental and we will return again. Just lovely and within minutes of the coastal path, pubs, cafés and pretty Solva harbour. Lots of lovely villages and beaches to explore within a short drive. St. David's is a 5ish mile walk along the coast path and there is a bus service about 3 times daily if you want to return by bus, times permitting, or prefer a day without driving. There is an excellent GP surgery if you are unwell whilst on holiday and the local supermarket, Bay View Stores is well stocked and friendly.

Great Place for any type of Vacation

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at Caswell Cottage for a long weekend, to enjoy walking along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

We really enjoyed our stay......... within a few minutes of the Coastal Path. We walked a circular route to Newgale, and the next day another circular route to St. David's....... I would recommend both.

The town of Solva is very friendly and has good places to eat and drink.

The Cottage is well equipped, good cooking facilities and Dishwasher........ plenty of warm water and good heating.

The Parking is very easy, either by the side of the house or outside the front.

We were particularly impressed with the size of the Bedrooms.........which would be ideal for a family stay in the summer time.

We would recommend Caswell for a stay at anytime of the year, and for couples as ourselves or families.

If we are in the area again we will definitely check the availability.

A super find !

  • 5 of 5

Caswell cottage is beautiful, it was spotlessly clean & in a perfect location close to Solva and the coast path. The extra little touches- tea coffee milk Welsh cakes 😊 washing up liquid etc really showed the attention to detail shown by Jacqui & this was also reflected in the beautiful co ordinating soft furnishings throughout.

We are frequent visitors to West Wales and will definitely be returning.
