A quiet and peaceful retreat, in the heart of Keswick, with superb views of Skiddaw and the surrounding fells. This ground floor apartment is full of natural light with original features but modern in its design. The location is outstanding; walkers can tramp nearby fells like Catbells, Walla Crag, Latrigg and Skiddaw from the doorstep. The cottage/apartment is in the town centre with its wide selection of shops, galleries, museums, tearooms, restaurants and pubs. This beautifully furnished and equipped contemporary apartment offers a luxurious, year round, retreat in the historic, quieter part of Keswick. It has its own patio with barbecue, once the car is parked you need not drive again all week as everything is to hand. It can sleep between 2 and 4 people and is ideal for couples or families with 2 young children.
The Gables – Lake District Self Catering Cottage in Keswick, Cumbria (Sleeps up to 14) 35 Station Street, Keswick, Cumbria. Occupying a pleasant position with easy access to the town centre and Fitz Park and commanding superb views of the Lakeland fells from various aspects. The Gables benefits from having a central position in Keswick and is only a 1 minute walk from the, Parks, Restaurants, Shops and Pubs and 10 minutes from the Lake. This 7 bedroom period house offers spacious, well equipped self-catering accommodation, ideal for 2/3 families or groups of Walkers / Bikers holidaying together. The house was refurbished in 2012, with new furnishings throughout and three newly fitted extra bathrooms making a total of four, there is a Pool. Table on the first floor. The Gables has a modern theme whilst keeping its period charm, with such amenities as wireless internet access and wall mounted TVs in 3 rooms as well as 4 bathrooms and free on road parking 100 metre away.
We have been coming to the Lakes for the last 30 years and now work in the area and believe in putting as much back into the local community as possible by helping promote the local tourism industry to all of our clients and guests across all of our businesses, which helps create a sustainable Keswick.

When we first walked into the Gables and the Studio our response was WOW and three years on we still love it, so please come and stay here and see if it Wows you as well. It is 100 yards from central Keswick, but is still very calming. The Gable and the Studio are in central Keswick and sleep up to 18 people (14 in the Gables and upto 4 in the Studio)
It is the only property in central Keswick which has a large rear Garden and it even has a slate bed pool table in the dining room! The Houses are big enough to disappear in and still find your own space.
We’ve had a lovely time here. Nice and cosy and lovely being so close to everything.

The Gables is a beautiful, well maintained house. The kitchen is well equipped with a good selection of pots, pans and crockery. There is plenty of room to relax in the spacious living and dining rooms.
It is set close to the centre of Keswick with all the shops, restaurants and pubs just a very short walk away.
This was our second stay in the studio (having also stayed in the Gables twice before too). Excellent location, comfortable apartment and lovely landlords who go the extra mile (one very small 'issue' was fixed immediately). Remembering that this is a studio apartment it still facilitated me, my husband and our 4 month old baby very well. Kitchen is clean and well stocked but who cares when you have so much on offer in keswick on the doorstep. We would stay here again without a doubt.

Stayed at the Studio for a weekend and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was comfortable, clean and in a great location.
Great location. Unit was clean. While there was a dryer, there wasn't a washing machine (?). There was not enough hot water for two adults to shower. No towels or coffee maker were provided -- we were told to buy our own.
Although the location and studio were fine, it was advertised as sleeping 4, and there were 3 of us, the accomodation is only suitable for 2.
There is a bed setter with no bedding and there are no towels, ehich is most unusual go a self catering apt. So I had to check out and stay in an hotel.which was costly.but ideal for two
