Comfortable well equipped cottage in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. The cottage has been carefully modernised so as to be comfortable and very well equipped while retaining bags of character. Location is ideal, just a few minutes walk into Beaminster with its shops, cafes and choice of places to eat. John was extremely helpful and made sure that we were comfortable and having a good stay. We will definitely consider this property again next time we want to visit Dorset.

Fantastic, comfortable and relaxing cottage

  • 5 of 5

A lovely cottage, really comfortable and spacious. It made a fantastic base for a great relaxed family holiday. John and Elaine made sure we had everything we needed, especially with games and dvd's to keep the kids entertained in the evenings. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again.

Idyllic restful break in Dorset

  • 5 of 5

We had been really looking forward to this weeks break, after several months of hard work in gloomy wet and cold weather. We were not disappointed, as not only was Albert Cottage a perfect location for us in the delightful little town of Beaminster, but it was hot and sunny every day but one, as well. Beaminster with its specialist local butchers, greengrocers and bakers shops is perfectly placed for access to the local beaches around Bridport. With their short walks over the headland and clifftop views from Eype to West Bay (TV detective series Broadchurch's location) and Eype to Seatown. With fabulous fresh food destinations in either direction.

The cottage is very light and airy, warm and cosy, the kitchen amply stocked with a broad array of utensils and cooking equipment. The table and bench at the far end of the garden was a perfect spot for eating and conversing, as they get the sun all day round.

Our two little dogs were very relaxed too, and the walled garden was very secure.

We didn't find many local dog walks, because we were either at the beach every day or off site-seeing elsewhere.

The owners John and Elaine were very helpful in the build up to our stay, always answering our email queries very promptly. We met Elaine briefly on the first Saturday morning, when she dropped by to see how we were settling in.

We will definitely be staying there again, and can't recommend it highly enough.

A very beautiful cottage with everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Had a lovely stay at Albert cottage. The house is charming on the inside and the outside. It has everything you need and more to be able to relax. It's like a home from home. The garden is very beautiful too. The village itself is a lovely village with everything you need. A few lovely places to eat within walking distance and a shop, chemist, barbers, a bakery and some really nice gift shops. It's a great property and we will certainly be coming back again. Dorset is beautiful and my family love it.
