Sika Cottage Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms)

The Sika Cottage is a beautiful holiday retreat.

Leading from the south-facing terrace, the door opens into a spacious living area, with open beams and a wood-burning stove, to give an instant feel of comfort.

The kitchen is fitted with all the labour saving devises, should you wish to dine at home.

At each end of the living area, you will find the bedrooms. A double bedded room with 5' bed and a large en-suite sandstone wet-room. The twin bedded room has a door leading onto the terrace.

The en-suite bathroom comes complete, with a roll top bath to relax in. The terrace, a real sun-trap, has views across the field to the lake, where you can watch the ducks at play. There is garden furniture and a barbecue for alfresco dining.

Also included is a complimentary Sunday Newspaper of your choice. The cottage has been adapted for the less able visitor.

The cottages combine charm with comfort. Cosy sitting rooms and log fires, perfect to return to after a day out. Ample bathrooms means no queues in the mornings and well equipped kitchens makes preparing meals no chore. An outside terrace with garden furniture and barbecues makes an ideal spot for al-fresco dining or just to relax with a glass of wine.

At each end of the living area, you will find the bedrooms. The neutral colours extend to the double room with 5' bed and a large en-suite sandstone wetroom. The twin bedded room with its pretty fabric has a door leading onto the terrace. The en-suite bathroom comes complete, with a roll top bath to relax in. Just the tonic after a hard days play.

The terrace, a real suntrap, has views across the field to the lake, where you can watch the ducks at play. There is garden furniture and a barbecue for alfresco dining.

For guests with young children we are able to offer - wooden cot, highchair, stairgate as well as a baby monitor, steriliser, socket covers, plastic table cloth, blackout blinds, plastic bowls and cutlery.

To help lighten your load we also have available a pushchair, front and back carriers. All at no extra charge. Also included is a complimentary Sunday Newspaper of your choice.

Why Judith Nancarrow chose Cornwall

Once a bull pen, now converted and modernised but retaining many of the original features. A single storey cottage with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and spacious living area. The fully fitted kitchen equipped for those who enjoy cooking. Warm summer mornings can be taken on the enclosed terrace and then join together in the evenings around the large dining room table.

This cottage is ideal for families with small children and those less able visitors

Booking Notes:

Changeover Day:
The Deerpark cottage is a Friday changeover. The Fallow, Sika and Stage is a Saturday changeover. Shortsbreaks (minimum three day stay) arrivals and departures may be taken on any day.

Outside: Each cottage has their own private terrace, which includes garden furniture and barbecue. There are adult and childrens bikes available to use, as well as storage for owners bikes. Fishing for the not too serious angler, the shared swimming pool temp 30deg. the large games hall with short mat bowls, short tennis, badminton, pool and table tennis is available at all times. For the under 5's the safe padded floor playroom has tunnels, slides and building blocks.

Fantastic place to spend a week in Cornwall

Stayed here for a week as our base to explore Cornwall. The cottage and setting was fantastic. Everything we needed was provided along with eggs, bacon and sausages! Even had scones jam and cream waiting for us on arrival. Would definitely recommend!

The coast is just a 15 minute drive, world famous gardens including The Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and National Trust properties.

By Road:Head for Cornwall, from the A30 or A38 follow the signs to St Austell (A390). One mile from St Austell turn right at St Mewan School. Poltarrow Farm is approximately a quarter of a mile on the left.

There are services to St. Austell Approx 2 miles where you can hire a car or take a taxi.

By Coach:Regular National Express services Via Plymouth to St. Austell.

By Air: To Newquay Airport Flybe daily.

By Ferry: Plymouth - Roscoff
