Four bedroom cottage with bathroom benefiting from a shower and bath. To the ground floor there is a dining kitchen, sitting room and additional WC. A fully refurbished holiday cottage that has in recent times been refurbished to the highest possible standard. The house benefits from all modern amenities yet retains all of its original character and charm. The cottage is steeped in history but benefits from all modern amenities including central heating, double glazing, dishwasher, DVD player to name but a few. The house it located in the heart of the village but occupies a quiet position and is within a very short walk of the seafront, beach, local shops and restaurants etc. To the rear is a large landscaped garden with unrivalled elevated decking that has stunning views over the village towards Ireland. There are also grassed areas and a summerhouse that allows the views to be enjoyed year round.

About Hilary Denholm

We are 2 families sharing this holiday home. Lynne and David Stevenson, and Hilary and Keith Denholm. All have ties with Portpatrick and our own childhood memories of holidays in the Port.

David and Hilary are brother and sister, so on the occasions when we can all holiday together, our kids have a great time with their cousins.

There are many things to do in and around Portpatrick, there are over 25 golf courses in the region and for non golfers there is mountain biking, boat trips, walks and relaxing days out.

Mountain biking:

Kirroughtree is part of the the 7 Stanes network of seven mountain bike centres that span the south of Scotland. There is plenty to do with a bike shop to hire bikes, a visitor centre with a cafe, a kids play park and nature walks for all to enjoy.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The Potters Rest has full oil central heating system, real fire in the lounge and double glazing. There are no additional charges for heating, lighting or use of linen during your stay. We will also include fuel for the fire. WIFI is available within the cottage. Outside: To the rear of the house there is a large but steep garden ground that is terraced with grassed areas and a large area of feature decking that enjoys unrivalled views over the village and Irish Sea towards Ireland. The garden gets the sun all day (weather permitting!!) and with the gas fired barbecue, table and chairs outdoor meals can be fully enjoyed with a stunning background. There is also a summerhouse that can be used all year round. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is fully cleaned prior to each visit, with all beds made up and fresh towels laid out. Enjoy some complimentary wine and chocolates to start your holiday off! Other: To the ground floor there is a separate cloakroom.
