Farmhouse near Montaigu-de-Quercy,/ Moissac,Midi-Pyrenees, France - Tranquil Renovated Farmhouse With Private Pool

A delightful renovated Quercy stone farmhouse, set on a hillside overlooking a lovely valley surrounded by it’s own land, which is farmed. Accommodation, which is on one level includes 2 bedrooms with double beds and a third bedroom with twin beds. On the gallery above the sitting room is an additional double sofa bed. There is a shower room and separate WC. The large attractive sitting/ dining /kitchen area has a well equipped kitchen with sink, electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher and fridge. In the sitting area is an open fireplace, couch,arm chairs & long dining table. The 11 x 5 metre swimming pool has a pool house adjacent with a simple summer kitchen, shower and WC. Garden furniture and a barbecue. There is a television & telephone. Blankets, square pillows and pillowcases are supplied and linen can be hired. There is a washing machine in the basement and table tennis table & 2 bicycles are provided. The property is near to the small town of Bourg de Visa (shops, restaurant).

A Car is essential

By Air The nearest airports are-Toulouse about 90 minutes; Bergerac about 1.15 mins hour, Bordeaux about 2 hours 20. Direct regular flights from London & many smaller UK airports

Driving We are about 580 miles from Calais/Le Havre 430 miles from St Malo. Cherbourg.

BY RAIL Eurostar runs via the Channel Tunnel between London & Paris (Gare de Nord) in 3 hours. Paris is linked to the high speed rail network (TGV). Departures for Aquitaine are from Gare Montparnasse station.

Further Details:

From the tranquillity of the surroundings it would be easy to feel that you had dropped from above into the remotest French countryside, but there is plenty to see and do in close proximity. The property is less than 6kms from the pretty village of Bourg de Visa with a restaurant, shop and Tuesday night market. Beauville is only a little further away with a restaurant and popular and very atmospheric Night Market on Friday evenings. There is also a local regional restaurant at Miramont de Quercy, only 10 minutes away. Each weekend morning is a large market in the centre of the nearby town of Moissac . This ancient, monastic town with its splendid Abbey and Romanesque cloisters is crossed by both the river Tarn and the canal du Midi. The bastide town of Lauzerte is only a ten minute drive with a supermarket, more restaurants and a bar which holds regular musical events. The tourist office in Lauzerte can also give information on fishing in the area and tennis courts. Bikes are for hire from the nearby village of Montaigu de Quercy, where quad bikes are also available and for the more adventurous there is a parachute school at Bouloc. There is an interesting nine hole golf course, just over half an hour away at Sauveterre. “Rikikiplage” children’s playground and picnic area with BBQ is where locals and visitors alike gather to swim in the river Saone, and is only five minutes away. The popular swimming lake at Montaigu de Quercy also has a beach, pedalos, and a café bar and Montaigu is also home to a bustling Saturday morning market. There are many more pretty villages, larger towns and Chateaux to explore within an easy drive.

Notes on accommodation: The change over day is a Saturday to Saturday. Outside: All around the property is large grounds and views over the surrounding countryside. The lovely 11mx 5m swimming pool has a large terraced area, with an adjacent pool house including a simple summer kitchen , shower & WC. In the pretty garden area is a shaded pergola. There is plenty of garden furniture, sun beds , parasol and a BBQ. Utility Room: Adjacent to the house is a barn with a washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen is for hire , which includes the bed linen and house towels, not the swimming pool towels. The property is cleaned ready on your arrival and it should be left in the manner to which you found it. Cleaning service is available on request. Other: Large Mezzanine area with additional folding bed.

Beautiful, perfect and incredibly relaxin

The number of times "I love this place" was said by members of our family is too many to count.

Paocot is a beautiful villa set in a wonderful mature garden with a large swimming pool. The views are stunning and setting is so peaceful. There are no near neighbours (which is great if you have young children like us) so you feel like you are staying in your own little paradise.

Bourg de Visa is 5 minutes away by car and has a great little bakery and shop. Montaigu de Quercy is about 10 minutes away and has a swimming lake with beach and cafe/restuarant and there is a large supermarket.

There are also many little picturesque villages to visit nearby.

I cannot speak more highly of Paocot - it is a very special place and we had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable week there.

This property has a Saturday change over day. Arrival time is from 16.00 and departure time is 10.00.

Notes on prices:
To secure a booking a deposit of 25% of the rental cost is required. On the final invoice a Security deposit is included (against breakages etc. and extra cleaning if required). The security deposit is of course refundable if not used Tenants must arrange Travel, Holiday, Cancellation and personal liability insurance. Linen for Hire (excluding pool towels)
