The property is situated in south west France in an area renowned for being one of the sunniest parts of the country. Set amidst rolling farmlands, which are ablaze with sunflowers in summer, Logis Sainte­-Terre offers a haven of peace and tranquillity. The village of Benest with its bar/restaurant, local post office and boulangerie/grocer is three kilometres away, while the larger village of Champagne Mouton with its twice weekly market is seven kilometres away. Here you will find all your daily needs from supermarket with petrol station, pharmacy and bank.

Ideally situated for exploring the treasures of this area known as Poitou Charente, with its medieval buildings and chateaux etc, La Rochelle, Royan, Futurescope (Poitiers), Cognac and Limoges are all within easy reach. The area is perfect for walking (well marked trails leave from the property), cycling, fishing, and other activities such as golf, boating and swimming are also available nearby.

Inside the gite it is well appointed and comfortable. Downstairs is the kitchen and the sitting area with flat screen television and wifi. There is a small table for dining with three chairs and a two seater sofa and armchair. Upstairs is a bedroom with a large double bed and a single bed. Space is provided for hanging clothes and there is a chest of drawers. There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower wash hand basin and wc. and a heated towel rail. Outside is a lovely private and sunny garden with loungers and a table and chairs. There is Weber BBQ. There is ample parking.

The beaches at La Rochelle and Royan are worth a visit but it's a good hour and half drive.

It is a french tradition to create artificial beaches by rivers and lakes, both natural and man made. One of the largest is found in an area known as Les Lacs de Haute Charente about 45 mins drive.

The rest is due 5 weeks before the start date of the holiday.
Payment can be made by bank transfer only.
200 Pounds extra security deposit, will be taken with the final payment, which will be returned via internet banking, if no damage, breakages etc have been found, and the house is left as clean as it was found. There is a Pack and Go option charged at £50 if you prefer.
