Le Logis is a fantastic retreat in an ideal location. We stayed there while house hunting in the area. If we find a house as lovely as this then my dreams of living in rural France will have come true.

A lovely rustic but modern Gite with everything you would wish for. Having free wifi available also helped with our house searching.

Loved Le Logis. Stayed there in January this year. Was cosy, comfortable and a wonderful hideaway in the beautiful French countryside.

I stayed at Le Logis over the New Year period and I thought it was just fantastic. This gite has everything I wanted. It's own entrance leads into a beautiful room with wood burner and lovely brand new fully equipped kitchen - I loved cooking in it - it had everything I could possibly have needed. The bedroom was spacious - comfortable bed and en suite bathroom with fantastic shower. This is the perfect Gite for a quiet getaway in rural France - I have already rebooked! ROBERT SCOTT

Another relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

The fact that we went back to Sainte-Terre says a lot in itself - we'd loved it so much two years ago. But if anything we enjoyed ourselves even more this time. It's a very comfortable and well-equipped place for two people who love to take it easy, cook themselves good meals and generally enjoy the tranquil side of France. Vicki and Gregor are the perfect hosts - and also welcomed our ever-inquisitive spaniel! Nothing is too much trouble and they manage the ideal combination of discretion and helpfulness. If you enjoy wine excursions both the Loire and the Gironde are only a couple of hours or so away, the local countryside is lovely to explore, all in all we can't recommend a stay too highly.

  • 5 of 5

having just returned to the UK after a weeks stay at this lovely gite we are compelled to write a review.

not much more to add that hasn't already been said in previous reviews.

the gite is beautiful the photos on the website is exactly what it is .

clean, warm, cosy and welcoming a true home from home (actually we wish it was our home) the gite comes complete with just about every essentials that you will need a fully equipped kitchen including a washing machine which is very handy if your travelling light (ie) hand luggage only? plenty of parking space, a lovely lounge/kitchen diner, a lovely bedroom with a big cosy bed, and a single bed also.

a shower and toilet all spotless..the owners obviously take pride and our very welcoming we arrived too a lovely vase of flowers, tomatoes, and marmalade all home made and a couple of bottles of wine (a lovely touch).

we have been house hunting in the area and it made a nice place to come home too each evening.

we didn't want to leave.

many thanks to the owners who helped making our week away fantastic ,,we hope to return ASAP

Gite Le Logis Saint Terre.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Saint Terre. We were fortunate to have great weather and the garden area at the Gite was fabulous. The accommodation is quaint and very well equipped. It was very clean and had lovely bedlinen. If you enjoying cooking the kitchen is great, all the equipment and utensils you could need and good quality appliances. The countryside views are so relaxing. You couldn't wish for nicer hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel really welcome. The Welcome pack with homemade Marmalade and homegrown figs was a nice touch, but the homegrown tomatoes were the nicest we have ever tasted.Lots to see and do in the area, but also the perfect place to relax. Looking forward to returning.

Absolutely Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

We have just had two amazing weeks!! The gite is truely beautiful and so well equipped, every utensil you need is provided!

The nearby villages are a short drive away to have a wander around and of course stock up on food and the essential wine but to be perfectly honest we couldn't wait to get back to the gite where we enjoyed relaxing and taking in the stunning views!!

It is the most peaceful and tranquil setting for a holiday! Thank you Vicki and Gregor you have created our little paradise.

We cannot wait to come back!!

Stunning rural setting.

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic property which was just as it looked on the pictures. Owners were welcoming and made us feel right at home. Weather was fabulous so we never actually sat inside the property and used the BBQ every night. Easy access to some of the regions many attractions. This is a property we will be returning to in the future. Ideal for couples just needing to get away and recharge their batteries away from it all. Just what we needed. Thanks Vicki and Gregor for your hospitality.

A beautiful hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic week in a lovely part of France. Lots of sleepy villages and the driving was effortless as very little traffic. We enjoyed visiting various towns villages e.g. Confolens, Ruffec, Civray (nice meal at the Hotel de Commerce by the River). We did the guided tour at Verteuil Chateau (only one tour per day at 3.00 p.m.) after having a delicious lunch at Port Bleu in the same village. We also enjoyed a day in Limoges where we visited the Jardins de L'Eveche which has loads of interesting sculptures, and the Quartier de la Boucherie which has lovely old streets to wander through. Highly recommend the Restaurant Petits Ventres for a delightful lunch. Thank you to Vicky and Gregor for being the perfect hosts, never intrusive but always so helpful. The gite is amazing and the garden a perfect spot for relaxing. Hope to be back one day.
