A hidden gem this small but stunning property was described by a respected agent as "the most beautiful place in Mykonos for its size" which is why the owner bought it as a home.Renovated by a talented German, it could not be more beautifully and conveniently located for the popular and sophisticated "sugar cube" town of Mykonos. A unique one bedroom property, prestigiously situated in a magnificent location with nothing but fields between the house and town and only just a 5 minute walk down steps to the town or reached by taxi or car , parking is possible in the road at the end of the path leading to the house The picture postcard view is breathtaking from all angles in the house and the terrace where you can breakfast, read, sunbathe, watch the ever changing sunsets or simply be transfixed by the ultimate view of Mykonos and the islands beyond including Syros, Tinos, Giaros and Kea in the distance.

I've been trying to leave a review for Harbour View but for some reason it will not let me submit it.

This is the review I left if somehow you can submit a review.

"Me and my wife stayed at the apartments when we visited Mykonos on our honeymoon in July. It is situated in a great location only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Mykonos Town, (Although it is situated on a steep hill with a series of steps to get into town, so might not be the best location for elderly or those not so good on their feet) The apartments owner is really friendly and helpful, with great communication via e mail from the first initial booking to when we returned home. He had left a series of personal guides in the apartment with suggestions of the nest beaches, restaurants, bars etc which we found really helpful. He even sorted our transfers from the port to the apartments and to the airport again when we were going home. We had a bottle of wine waiting for us and a personalised message on the chalk board outside, when we arrived, which was a nice touch. All in all we had a great stay and I think the apartment must have one of the best views on the island, which we never tired of whilst enjoy a cold beer on the balcony. Its a great place to stay for people wanting to do their own thing and wanting more of a personal touch.

Magical Mykonos

This is no grand Palace, But just a small beautiful house that has everything that you could wish for. It has Wi-Fi air-conditioning and a Veranda for sunbathing with a view to die for.

The view of the harbour and bay and the islands with the endless comings and goings of yachts,and ferries will turn you into a boat spotter for life. We took

binoculars with us which were a must....

The house is surrounded by flowers outside and marble inside....

You can stroll down to the town, which is open day and night, or you can rent a car or motorbike, and explore the island and its many beaches.

The little narrow streets of shops and restaurants and bars are open all day , and at night They are lit up with magical effect.

Mykonos is not an island to be missed And this house is perfect.

Owner's Response: I have to say these guests were themselves very charming and so loved the house , that this is written in all sincerity It is most knid of them They were so ' in love ' with it , even before they arrived , from having seen the photographs on Owners Direct ! ( they are real as one guest commented previously ! ) However I have to say that this couple were undoubtly one of the most appreciative I have ever met and when I asked if there was anything they thought that was not right they said ' No , they could not have been happier and also they had slept so well too ' Caroline and Antony I think the house loved you as much as you love staying here You were exemplary guests who certainly made the most of this holiday home ( actually they did not leave the place in the first two or three days as they loved being in the house and on the terrace so much !! ) Thank you for your kind review and for leaving the house so clean and tidy ! You even folded the sheets and towels before you left It was delightful for me to have such charming guests You will of course be most welcome to stay for another visit one day , but I know you have many plans for future holidays for the time being

Stunning Views

This gorgeous property is situated in a beautiful and tranquil area yet within a short walk from the town with all its many restaurants and bars. Also close to a good local supermarket and a pretty walk to and from there.

Sam was a generous and helpful host and very kindly drove us to and from the airport. He gave us lots of information about places to go and restaurants to try. The property was well stocked with water and Sam left us wine and food for our arrival. The AC and wifi work perfectly.

The views from the balcony are stunning and watching the sunset from there is wonderful. We also enjoyed seeing it from the many waterfront bars and restaurants and getting lost in the town is all part of the experience.

We came for a quiet break and this is just the place to do that. A really great holiday in a very beautiful place.

Owner's Response: I have to say that this English couple were perfect and ideal guests They seemed to easily fall into their holiday mode I felt and wanted nothing more than to spend a quiet holiday in Mykonos , which apparently was what they managed to achieve ! They were a delightful couple and from the moment I met them at the airport , they were very charming and easy guests , whom I saw only once in the distance during their whole stay They would be most welcome again , should they choose visit Mykonos again The house was immaculate after they left and one cannot ask more from anyone ! “Million dollar sunset view. What a lovely place to stay to enjoy Mykonos. It looked exactly like the pictures and the wifi and the a/c worked perfectly. As with all of Mykonos the walk to town is 5 minutes down and 20 back up but it's good to work off the delicious food. Sam was a great host. Thanks for the memories.”

I chanced upon this beautiful property and found it irresistible. I have been spending quite a bit of time here I hope to find suitable guests who will enjoy this very special place as much as I always do.It's position is utterly unique and therefore nothing available which is similar on the island for position or size The views are breathtaking I wish you a good holiday should you visit my place However it is not for the elderly or infirm with the steps to walk up to get there up the hill , although you can also drive or take a taxi The climb is worth it for the view alone , however the decor is delightful too !

Nearest Airport : Mykonos International Airport at 3 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Mykonos New Port at Tourlos at 2 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : San Stefanos at 2 Kilometres Car: recommended


The property is five minutes' walk down to Mykonos Town (although 15 minutes' walk back up the hill). Generally speaking the famous beaches are thirty minutes away by bus, car or taxi. The nearest beach, St. Stephanos, is 10 minutes away.


The Airport is 15 minutes maximum drive. The new Port is 10 minutes drive.

Further Details:

All the facilities of Mykonos Town are five / ten minutes walk away including wonderful restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, etc.

  • Notes on accommodation: This quirky but charming apartment is very much a home to the present owner and thus does not come under the category of "five star luxury with an infinity pool". As the owner says, "the Aegean Sea is my infinity pool!" It is very much a unique and well loved home with character and not for those wishing for hotel-style accommodation. Some improvements have been made to furnishings so the photographs will be updated in April 2015 , but the character of the house has not changed Curtains as well as a new sofa in the bedroom and a new comfortable chair in the main room being the main additions Mykonos Harbour View is a feast for the eye and its beauty never fails to enthrall any visitor. Outside: The house is approached through a gate at the end of the path from the road, into a small courtyard off which there are two other adjoining properties above. There is no garden - just the terrace with dining table and chairs and the view of the Harbour and beyond. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean linen and towels are supplied and the property is cleaned twice a week, that is every 3 or 4 days in a week Other: The property is entered down marble steps leading through the small kitchen, down two further steps and into the sitting room.
