Simply Blissful...

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed an idyllic three weeks at The Dairy at Luckdon Farm. We received a generous, warm welcome from Gordon, Nikki, the dogs, cats, goats, chicken, geese, donkeys, ponies, horses and pigs!

The Dairy is a beautiful barn conversion, very tastefully appointed, comfortable, with some lovely personal touches. My wife enjoyed the tranquil garden and I really appreciated the Sky TV!

Ideally placed to explore Dartmoor and for day trips to the coast, The Dairy is a real home from home.

We'd have no hesitation in recommending this country gem and are looking forward to our next visit.

Stunning!

  • 5 of 5

We felt as if we had escaped to another time. The Dairy was pure magic. The natural beauty of the place is simply stunning, and then for our children to be in the company of Nicky's wonderful "menagerie" gave our family an experience we will never forget. Nicky and Gordon are the warmest of hosts, always happy to make suggestions, and most importantly, allowed our kids to help with the animals morning and night. The house itself is beautifully decorated, with a very well-appointed kitchen. We did most of our shopping in Ashburton (lovely) on the way in. Moretonhampstead was our local village for additional shopping, dining, poking around. Zoe was wonderful to communicate with for the booking, quickly answering any questions we had. Thank you all so very much!

Grear accommodation in a fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay at the Dairy. The accommodation itself is really clean modern and comfortable. The location is great for walking with Hound Tor close by. We also visited the Eden Project and Dartmoor prison - both were easily accessible. The owners are close by and very helpful. The local pub in North Bovey does great food

Fantastic Family Holiday

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect place to stay on Dartmoor. The Dairy was spacious (the pictures don't do it justice) and great for our party of 6 (aged 17-75). There were a number of great walks directly from the property - Easdon Tor, Lustleigh Cleave and a short walk to the pub! The property was immaculate, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. It was great to mix with the pigs, goats, donkeys, horses, dogs and a very friendly cat :-) I cannot fault this property, location and owners. Thank you for a great week...just needed to have made it two!

Uplifting, spacious, immaculate barn

  • 5 of 5

This is the most spacious, luxurious place we have ever had the fortune to spend a few days staying in. The photos on Owners Direct are great, but don't compare with the wonder of actually being there. Our family of 5 plus well behaved dog loved the "upside- down" barn and all it's many comforts, including the Shepherd's Hut ( made down the road from our own home in rural Dorset). The walk down to the river, through fields of goats, donkeys, horses, pigs and piglets provided much delight, even for teenage boys and was possibly their favourite walk straight from the door ( a little shorter than our other hikes!).... I think the next contender was the walk through foxglove packed forests up to Easdon Tor, returning via the Ring of Bells for a fantastic Sunday lunch.

We spent evenings trying out new board games and since returning home our youngest son has bought "Risk" ( the same edition), as this is now his new favourite board game.

I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.
