Apartment in Cala D'Or, South East Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Apartment Conveniently Located Next To The Marina, Supermarkets, Shops And Restaurants

This two bedroom apartment is located in one of the best locations within Cala d'Or, the Cala Egos area. The area and the complex are quiet but close to the restaurants and attractions you can find in the Marina and also next to the shopping area located in Cala Egos with all its supermarkets, restaurants, beaches and playground areas. There are two beaches in 5 to 7 minutes walk. There is no need to hire a car as you have everything you might need for your holidays at walking distance. If you want to discover areas like the Mondrago Natural Park you can walk to the bus stop nearby to get there. Alternatively you can discover the coastline by jumping onto the glass bottom boat from the Cala Egos beach.

Lovely ground floor apartment beside 9 pools

This ground floor apartment with garden was well equipped and clean. All electrical appliances and WiFi worked. Maria met us on arrival and was very helpful. The Marina dOr II complex is spacious, quiet, safe and well-maintained. There are 9 or more large swimming pools of varying depths so we were never crowded. Easy walking distance to supermarkets, shops, a wide variety of good restaurants and a fabulous marina. We got a bus transfer to/from Palma Airport and did not need a car. Recommended but please do not book for the weeks WE want to go back there. Haha!

Perfect family holiday!

The resort itself is absolutely superb - loads of good sized pools and not at all crowded. Cala D'or Marina is just a 5-10 min walk away (depending on how young your children are!) and Cala Egos centre is literally down the road.

The apartment itself is fantastic. Very well equipped and very, very clean. We've stayed in a few apartments at Marina D'or II over the years and this apartment is by far the best we've stayed in.

Maria is very hospitable and nothing is too much trouble.

I would highly recommend this apartment / resort to any family looking for a wonderfully relaxing holiday in the sun!

lovely apartment

Great apartment ,fantastic area you don't need a car, as the owner lives local if you did have any problems she would be straight there no problem . Maria the owner speaks excellent English and was there to greet us . Don't hesitate to book here you won't regret it we never have.

Mr and Mrs Chalkley 2016 Holiday

The property is very well located and central to CALA D or Marina CALA D or town and CALA Egos. The property is very clean and tidy and is like home from home not clinical like some property's. All the facilities are very modern and upto date and fully air conditioned, the view from the garden is fantastic with access to a selection of swimming pools. We have been going to Cala D or for over 10 years and this is the best property we have stayed in yet and we will be returning to this property every year from now on. 5 star property by far.

Excellent Apartment Very Friendly Owner

We are an Irish family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 boys aged 14,10 and 6. We had a fantastic holiday in this lovely apartment. It had everything we needed and helped make this holiday so special. We had our choice of pools and everything listed on the website was correct. The owner Maria is very friendly and so helpful - she met us when we arrived and walked us through everything and gave us some local tips. We will be back.

Great Family Holiday

We are just back after spending 2weeks in this lovely apartment. The apartment is very well situated and close to all that you could possibly need. The garden and pool were great and the children had a great time jumping in and out of the water, while we could easily see them! The owners were extremely helpful and local. Thank you!

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The closest beaches to the apartment are the Cala Egos beach at around 5 minutes walk and the Es Forti beach also called Es Calo des Pou at around 7 minutes walk. These beaches are Coves located very near and therefore are very convenient. However we highly recommend to also discover the beaches in the Mondrago Park right next to Cala d'Or where you will enjoy some of the best beaches in Mallorca located in a Natural Park with no hotels nearby.

Travel:

The airport is located at 60 km from the apartment. The best options if you do not want to rent a car is to either contract a straight taxi/transfer to the apartment or a shuttle service which will be much cheaper but will take much longer to arrive to the apartment as it will stop in several hotels before arriving to Cala Egos. Please contact us if you need further info on renting a car or more info on shuttle or transfer services.

Distances:

The Cala Egos shopping area is at 5 minutes walk, the Marina is at about the same distance or even less. The Marina divides Cala d'Or in two areas at each side of the Marina: Cala Egos and the Cala d'Or town centre. There are many restaurants and shops in the town centre where you will find most of the Hotels in the area. You will have to walk across the Marina to arrive to the Cala d'Or town centre: 15 minutes walk from the Marina. The Santanyi Village is at 15 minutes drive or go by bus.

Further Details:

The best leisure activities in the area include: the glass bottom boat from the Cala Egos beach, the Speed boats from the Marina, renting bikes in Cala Egos, the playground areas in Cala Egos and Cala Ferrera, horse riding in Porto Petro (Mondrago), kayaking in Cala Gran, Wind surf and Paddle Surf in Cala Ferrera.

  • Notes on accommodation: There is a big supermarket at walking distance. It is called Eroski and is open the whole week from Monday to Saturday in high season from 9:00 to 21:00. The wifi password will be provided when requested the day of the arrival. Outside: The best part of the apartment is the garden and the communal area. The complex has seven big communal pools and you never have the feeling that the place is overcrowded. The garden has its own sun loungers that you can either use in your private garden area or closer to the pools. The communal area has also several outdoor showers. Utility Room: The equipment in the utility room is the washing machine, the tumble dryer and the electric boiler. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house includes towels and linen. The apartment is cleaned before arrival and after departure of the guests. Extra cleaning services are not included but can be provided. Other: The garden has its own table with chairs and 4 sun loungers.
