Fantastic sea views. ‘Sea Spray’, a luxury apartment (3rd floor out of 4 floors) situated in Fort Picklecombe (was once a 19th cent Fort) , 2 miles from Torpoint, East Cornwall. 'Sea Spray' is only yards from the waterfront having panoramic sea views over Cawsand Bay & Plymouth Sound , a stunning setting. Plymouth is visible in the distance and there is an interesting array of ships and sailing boats visible over the Sound. Fort Picklecombe over recent years has been converted into prestige residential apartments. The 19th cent Fort is in a quiet rural setting, on a spectacular stretch of coastline, ideal for walkers. A small sandy beach (not during winter) is a few minutes stroll away and the good sandy beach at Kingsand and Cawsand (adjoining pretty villages with good pubs, cafes and shops) is under 2 miles by road and coastal footpath. Footpaths to Mount Edgcumbe Nat Trust house and grounds, deer park and woods. During the summer a ferry will take you from Cawsand across the bay to Plymouth, landing on famous Plymouth Hoe. Just over 1 mile to National Trust Mount Edgecumbe House and Gardens. Under 2 miles to the pedestrian Cremyll Ferry which will take you across the Bay, landing in Stonehouse, Plymouth. From where you land it is a short walk to city centre shops and the famous Barbican and Hoe waterfront areas. Visit Plymouth's new shopping centre, historic attractions such as the Elizabethan House, Plymouth Aquarium (largest in Europe) and lots of other things to do and see. Fort Picklecombe is situated in a great area for walkers, featuring in an edition of the Shell Guide as the most picturesque part of England.

Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has bunk beds. Futon double bed in living area. Maximum of 4 people only. Kitchen area has an electric oven, hob unit, microwave, fridge/freezer & dishwasher. Good size open plan living area with T.V.and DVD. Shower room.

Linen inclusive. Electric inclusive. Heating by electric panel wall heaters easy to keep warm).

There is a dedicated parking space for one car in the car park beneath the Fort, with convenient adjoining lift to the holiday apartment (also stair access). Other parking in grounds. No pets.

Lovely comfortable apartment.

We enjoyed staying here very much. Very comfortable. Good size - more than I expected from the photos. No sign of wifi code so we made do with intermittent BT Wifi this is why 4 not 5 stars. There is a great library in the basement with books, jigsaws and games. We were lucky enough to have a NATO exercise so many warships about. There are trolleys by the stairs to carry luggage up in the lift - nicer to go up lift 3 from the lobby and walk round level 3 rather than in the basement. Easy 2 mile walk to Kingsand. More energetic to Cremyll. Pubs great in both places.
