Fabulous place for a short break !

  • 5 of 5

Just returned home after a short break at this wonderful cottage. Katherine and Andrew were lovely hosts, good communications when booking and on arrival it was even better than the pictures .

Welcoming and clean on arrival, and a lovely treat of cake, flowers and bottle of wine - a lovely touch.

The pool and tennis court were a great hit - the pool is situated on the ground floor , with the living accommodation upstairs so no issues of getting to the pool etc. Pool lovely and warm and was a decent size.

We walked the Long Mynd one day and the scenery around the area is lovely - would have loved to stay longer and explore further.

The cottage itself has everything one needed - wi- fi for the teenagers to stay in touch with friends, plenty of kitchen equipment , with lots of glasses , crockery etc.

We have taken many cottages over the years but this is certainly one of the best we have stayed in .

Heep to be back soon as this really does tick all the boxes for us !

A peaceful, comfortable and clean oasis.

  • 5 of 5

The Coach House is even better than the photos suggest. We loved the relaxed colour scheme and spaciousness. The sofas and cushions made watching the Rio Olympics very comfy and being able to have a lovely warm swim at the end of a day's sightseeing was very therapeutic. Our standard of tennis left a lot to be desired but sitting in the orchard on warm evenings was bliss. Although we met beautiful Pixie we didn't gain her trust this time but Brownie was only too willing to put up with our attention for a carrot or two.

We would recommend the Sabrina river cruise in Shrewsbury (book ahead to get seats on top deck), the pretty town of Much Wenlock, Ludlow, RAF Cosford, David Austin Roses nearby at Albrighton, Ironbridge, Powis Castle but especially Blists Hill Victorian Town which was fascinating (book a passport online to include the other attractions too, to avoid queueing).

Katherine and Andy were very friendly without being at all intrusive and the cake, wine and flowers were a lovely welcome.

Everything you want and more......stunning!!!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay here and decided on 2 weeks this year. Once again we were not disappointed by the fabulous property and everything it has to offer. On arrival we quickly settled in and enjoyed a glass of complimentary wine and a cheeky slice of cake. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The fabulous pool was as warm as ever and the accommodation immaculately presented. The use of the tennis court has turned our 7 year old into quite the little Andy Murray. We visited Telford Park and Ludlow Town Inc the brewery tour - well worth a visit if you like an ale or two. We travelled to Barmouth on a couple of occasions to see the seaside. Browney the horse was especially happy to receive some apples and carrots and I managed to get a stroke from Pixie the dog. Other visits Inc Ironbridge and Shrewsbury park. All in all this is a wonderful retreat and one we will be booking again. Thank you again to Katherine and Andrew.

Peaceful Village High Quality Barn Conversion

  • 4 of 5

This is a high quality two bedroom coach house conversion located in the grounds of an old rectory and it's own heated swimmingpool. It is not suited for those with limited mobility as the main living quarters are all located on the first floor and the stairs are steep. The pool has no steps which makes it difficult for those who are not that mobile to get in and out. Mind you once you are in it is lovely and warm.

The location is very peaceful and for most of the time all you hear is bird song and at night you have no light pollution so you can enjoy the beauty of the night sky. You will awake the next morning to nothing more than bird song.

The owners live just across the yard in the old rectory and they are very friendly and helpful. This is a really lovely county well worth a visit.

I would have given this rental five stars if the pool had proper steps and hand rail to make it easy to use. Also the main en suite shower room lacked a coat hook on the door a simple thing to rectify.

Would we go back, get the above items fixed then the answer would be yes it is a great location, lovely rental and nice owners complete with large friendly shaggy dog.

Relaxing Break

  • 5 of 5

A truly impressive, clean, well laid out and relaxing holiday cottage.

We were a family of 4 with a dog and had plenty of space for our children to make themselves at home. The cottage was always warm and inviting when we returned. The pool was clean and a lovely warm temperature, larger and deeper than I expected from the pictures. We had full access to the expansive grounds. The orchard was extremely relaxing, the tennis court provided hours of entertainment, can't say there was much skill but plenty of enjoyment!

We were very lucky with the weather and even managed a game of rounders on the field. Our daughters loved feeding and stroking the resident horse, Brownie and our dog had fun wondering the several acres of ground with the owners dog, Pixie. It was good knowing both the children and dog were secure as the grounds are fully enclosed by walls, gates or fences.

There was plenty to do with both children and a dog and we recommend Blists hill Victorian town at Ironbridge.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. It's amazing waking up to only bird song and darkness at night where you can see the stars clearly.

Thank you Andy and Katherine, it was a pleasure to meet you and stay in your beautiful cottage. I am sure we will be back in the future.
