About the Owner

My wife and I have lived in this area of France for several years leaving the UK for a quieter life in the sun. We wake up every morning and thankful we choose so wisely to have such beautiful surroundings and lovely local people. Both the apartment & the locality exceeded our expectations. Being first time visitors to the region we found the dramatic landscapes & many medieval villages an impressive mix. We were equally impressed by how quiet & peaceful both the apartment & surrounding country side are. The birdsong & wild flowers will be lasting memories from our inspiring walks. Excellent food & wine made it our kind of holiday, we shall definitely be returning! -Robert

"One of our all time favorite places" We have stayed here two years in a row and absolutely love it. The owners are on the premises and are very generous and friendly without being at all imposing. -Ruth

"Large apartment in a wonderful region of France" Spacious rooms, well decorated, very comfortable beds, wonderfully clean pool.

"A truly lovely comfortable apartment."We stayed at the apartment for 12 days, and enjoyed every aspect of it. The place has every facility, stylish bathrooms. Each person felt like they had their own space

Stunning views

  • 4 of 5

A comfortable apartment with absolutely stunning views over Lodeve and the surrounding hills. A very steep walk into town - and back!

The town is non-touristy with a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Lots of easy parking. Very well placed to get on the motorway to explore the surrounding area. Lac Salagou, Montpellier, Millau Viaduct and the Camargue are all within reach to explore.

A lovely holiday base.

A wonderful place to stay to explore this glorious

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted with our stay in Lodeve. Our apartment was well appointed, light and airy and really thoughtfully decorated. It was perfect for us and our two teenage children. We felt very welcomed by Clive and contact with him throughout the booking process was really easy, the information that was provided about the locational, region and places of interest was fantastic and really useful throughout our stay. The pool and surroundings were a perfect place to relax when not out exploring this fabulous region of France. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer.

A really enjoyable holiday

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was spacious, well and thoughtfully equipped with lovely views and a sunny and private terrace. A holiday essential for us is somewhere that is within walking distance of a restaurant or two and this apartment has several restaurants about 20 minutes walk away. Of these we thought Terre et Mer down by the river was the best. We went to do some hiking and the whole area has many stunning old trails, all of which are well marked.

Relaxing revisit to Lodeve

  • 4 of 5

We found the property to be clean and very well appointed. The beds, sofa etc. were all very comfortable and oven was the most efficient we had found in a rental property. The owners showed a great respect for our privacy but were there and helpful when we needed them. We had visited Lodeve before and it is a pleasant, untouristy, town with a good market on Saturdays and with a good supply of restaurants and cafes. We were particularly interested in the Causse du Larzac with its dramatic scenery and its many Templars and Hospitallers sites. The pool at the property was one of the best I had encountered.

The setting is fabulous...stunning views of the town and surrounding countryside. So much to see , and being so close to the motorway trips to the beaches , Montpellier etc are only 45 mins.

Accommodation is very comfortable with everything you would want .

Thoroughly enjoyed our week and will hopefully return soon.

beautifully appointed and well equipped property.

We stayed in this little appartment, with our three small children aged 2,4 and 6. The appartment was really well equipped with high quality fittings and we were supplied with everything we needed from bin bags, dishawasher tabs and tin foil to good fridge, freezer, coffee machine and dishawasher....every little helps! The owners had supplied childrens toys and a lovely toddler bed which was fab.The appartment had beautiful views over the pool and over the hills from the large main bedroom. Sadly the roof terrace where we ate our meals did not have the same views, but can't complain too much! We used the pool most days. It was a great base to visit the area, we did some wonderful things, including caves, gorges (and canoeing), lakes, walled towns and fishing ports, all within one hour. Can definitely recommend.
