With exposed timbers, comfortable furnishings and stunning views, the chalet provides the perfect base to enjoy skiing, hiking, mountain biking or just relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views from the balcony or terrace. This alpine chalet is ideally situated for access to the Portes du Soleil - the largest ski domain in the world with 650 kms of piste covering 15 villages, 8 in France and 7 in Switzerland. In summer the beautiful Lac Leman is just 30 mins away.

About Linda Willcocks

We have skied the Portes du Soleil for over 25 years and still love it. it's so vast that we don't get bored - with over 650 kms of piste that would be difficult! We started skiing over 40 years ago and we have loved skiing in other resorts but this was our favourite. So much so that 16 years ago we purchased Chalet Piplin and discovered that we love the mountains in spring, summer, autumn and winter. There's so much to do and see, and now that we older we fully appreciate just relaxing on the balcony and drinking in the views and tranquillity.

There is so much to do and see pristine landscapes, unspoilt villages, rock climbing, taking a ride on the Fantasticable, endless winter activities and summer too with Lac Leman just 30 mins away. With ample parking both summer and winter, this alpine chalet is situated within a short distance from either Abondance or Chapelle d'Abondance and just 10 mins from Chatel with all the piste access that the villages provide and just a nine hour drive from Calais or 75 mins from Geneva.

Filled with character and charm the chalet is beautifully furnished. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with views of sun drenched mountains, relax on the balcony or have dinner with friends in front of an open fire what better way to spend your hard earned vacation time! With two large balconies and a garden with terrace, BBQ, outdoor seating and table and chairs the spectacular views can be appreciated at your leisure. Ample comfortable seating for all guests in the lounge with library, DVD library,UK TV, DVD player, WIFI.

Beautiful cosy chalet

We have stayed in this chalet lots of times and as usual we had a super holiday. The chalet is spacious yet cosy and very well appointed with all that you need to make the best out of your stay. The bedrooms are all very comfortable, there are 3 modern bathrooms, a large kitchen and a beautiful lounge/dining room with open fire and stunning views of the mountains. The owners thoughtfully supply all sorts of books, games and DVDs for your use during your stay. There is a laundry and convenient secure ski room so you can easily unload the car after a day on the slopes.

The chalet is in easy reach of the fantastic Portes du Soleil ski region and the snow conditions were wonderful this year. Although you really need a car, staying at this chalet gives you the flexibility to start your days skiing from a huge variety of different places.

We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend.!

Another amazing stay at Chalet PipLin

Just spent another week at Chalet PipLin. We just love retreating to the chalet after a good day on the ski slopes, getting the log fire going and relaxing with a nice glass (or two)! A super chalet in a peaceful location which is more like home than a rental.

A little bit of heaven

It's an absolute gem. This place has everything you need for a fabulous holiday. The view from the south facing balcony is beyond beautiful. The chalet has everything you could possibly need. Check out the L'Abbaye & Les Touristes restaurants for gorgeous food. The walk along the River Dranse from Abondance back to the chalet is a must. Thank you Lin for sharing your home from home with us xx (Oh & according to the other three the skiing is pretty fab too!!! )

A lovely homely chalet

7 of us had a great holiday here, three single ladies, one poor father (luckily he had a 17 year old son to save him from all the women) and teenage children and their mother. Coming back from the slopes, lighting the fire and relaxing with a glass of wine and a DVD from the enormous selection available was a great way to finish the day. This chalet had everything we needed. We took our own food and being on a budget this chalet offered very comfortable accommodation for a very reasonable price. Three bathrooms with lots of hot water meant that there was no queuing for baths/showers. I highly recommend this chalet, it was clean, well maintained and the one issue we had was dealt with really quickly. We will certainly be back again.
