"A lovely break”
Had a very peaceful stay at Meon Springs. My partner fished whilst I just
chilled in the very cosy Hut.
Very friendly staff couldn't do enough to make our break relaxing.
Would definitely recommend and will return.
“A Hut and a Mutt"
I want to write Don't go there! ....... but i have to tell you just how wonderful this place is.
We booked a 3 day stay in the Fishing Hut as it was just the 2 of us and our Springer Spaniel! it was as romantic and exclusive.
We were greeted and shown our hut and were given some print out of local walks.
The setting is so tranquil with beautiful views and a lake just behind. There is lots to do in the surrounding area, we went to the beach one day and on another we took the walk up to Winchester Hill with our dog which he loved.

Fishing Hut Love
My husband, dog and I stayed in one of Meon Spring's fishing huts for 4 nights and just absolutely loved the whole experience. The hut itself was a brilliant set up: sleeping/ living area extremely comfortable and cosy. Our private cooking and bathroom facilities were spotless and incredibly well thought out.
The people at Meon Springs couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. There was freedom for our dog and excellent walks straight from our hut into the beautiful South Downs.
Local pubs served excellent food and the fishing lodge at Meon Springs was extremely convenient for a beverage by the water in the Spring sunshine.
This was an excellent find and thoroughly recommend whether you're a fisher-person or just looking for a retreat.
This was a fantastic experience! The Meon Valley is breathtakingly beautiful and completely isolated from the hustle and bustle of daily life. If you are looking for a very quiet and peaceful location, do visit this place. We walked to the top of nearby Winchester Hill and the Iron Age fort. There are some excellent local pubs a short drive away. The new "state-of-the art" Shepherd's hut is part of the Trout Fishery, is highly insulated with oak floor, (electric underfloor heating) double glazing and full insulation. It was very warm and cosy, and the nearby fishing hut had a lovely log burning stove, comfy seating and wifi access if required. The adjacent facilities for kitchen and loo/shower worked well and were also heated adequately and well equipped. Jamie and his staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will certainly come back when the opportunity arises and would certainly recommend it to anybody to experience.
