Butterfly Lodge is fully equipped and furnished to a very high standard with decked areas front and rear ideal for al-fresco dining, sunbathing and relaxation. Outdoor furniture, BBQ and sun loungers are provided. Close to the beautiful cove of Talland Bay and the picturesque fishing village of Polperro. The nearby Cornish path provides exhilarating walks and breathtaking views of the coastline. Situated in a quiet corner of the holiday park all the amenities are close at hand including: swimming pools, clubhouse, kiddies club, entertainment and much more. About Tony Brown

My name is Tony Brown & I am the owner of Butterfly Lodge along with my partner Elizabeth. I have travelled the world extensively living in New Zealand, Australia & South Africa.

I was a self employed management consultant, business mentor and a qualified life coach. I ran my own business for over 20 years. I am now semi-retired.

I'm a keen SCUBA diver and have had the pleasure of diving the reefs & wrecks off the Cornish coast many times. My other sporting interests include golf, playing guitar, walking & rugby league.

Tony Brown purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Tony Brown chose Cornwall

As a youngster I went to Looe for summer holidays with my parents. I fell in love with Cornwall and brought my family with our touring caravan.

My partner Elizabeth loves this part of the world as passionately as I do. We visited Killigarth Manor staying in lodges and caravans on a number of occasions. We decided to buy Butterfly Lodge when it became available. It is situated in a quiet corner of the park giving the best of both worlds.

We have poured our passion, time, effort and money into the lodge to make it our 'home from home'.

Cornwall has so much to offer. The proximity of Looe, Talland Bay & Polperro make it ideal as we love walking.

What makes this cabin unique

Chill out at Butterfly Lodge. The lodge is positioned backing onto the Polperro football pitch. This is a local amateur club so no problems on match days. Just a handful of well behaved spectators and their dogs.

We extended the decked area to the rear of the lodge which gives outdoor living front and rear. The rear of the property is South facing making it a secluded and sheltered sunbathing area.

Buses run regularly to Looe, Liskeard, Polperro & Plymouth. The Looe train has to be experienced and joins the main tracks at Liskeard giving excellent access to all major towns and cities.

There is a convenience shop on site, launderette, takeaway, bar, swimming pools, sauna, gym, crazy golf, tennis court, children's play area, bar and club. It's got something for everyone!

  • Butterfly Lodge has two bathrooms: The en-suite has a walk in high power shower, handbasin and toilet. The second bathroom has a bath/shower (over bath), handbasin & toilet. Bathrooms have new floor coverings and ample storage units.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: The lodge is a 'home from home' and has been equipped as such by the owners. The lodge benefits from superior quality furniture, bedding, crockery, cutlery, fixtures and fittings. The lodge is pet friendly. A small surcharge applies if you bring your dog (£25pw). The regulations of the site & our terms of let apply to pets. The lodge is fully central heated and has double glazing throughout. Butterfly Lodge has blackout blinds and curtains fitted to all windows. A high chair & cot are available. A lockable shed is also provided. There are parking spaces for 2 cars. Outside: Made from timber and 'chalet style' the lodge has front, rear and side decked areas with easy access. The decking is extended to the rear of the lodge providing additional outdoor living & ideal alfresco areas. This rear decked area provides a secluded sun trap / entertaining area. A charcoal BBQ is provided along with garden furniture and loungers for those warm days and balmy evenings. A lockable wooden shed is provided. External lighting has been fitted. Utility Room: The dining area extends from the kitchen giving 'open plan' living, dining and lounge. There is a wooden dining table and chairs with overhead lighting. A high chair is provided for 'junior' diners (stored with cot in small bedroom). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The lodge is fully equipped. We request that guests bring there own towels. The lodge is cleaned Saturday mornings prior to the arrival of new guests. A brochure on the lodge is provided including emergency numbers etc. Other: We provide excursion leaflets, an ordnance survey map and information on the holiday park, walks, amenities, attractions and places of interest. Free Wi-fi is available in the clubhouse. The extended decked areas have latched gates front & rear.

Booking Notes:
Keys will be available from the key safe at the lodge from 3pm on day of
arrival. Key code will be provided once payment has been made in full.

25% of the total let cost is required to secure your booking. The balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to holiday let date.

In the event of cancellation within two weeks of the let commencement date no refunds of deposits will be made.

No all male or all female groups are acceptable.

Changeover days are Saturdays unless prior arrangements have been made with the owners.

Notes on prices:
Holiday lets are weekly - Saturday to Saturday.
We do not accept short stay or weekend breaks.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
