About the property

Large Period Home in the centre of the twin villages of Cawsand & Kingsand on the Rame Peninsula, Cornwall - 1 minute from the Sea, Shops and Restaurants.

The large 18th century house tastefully combines period charm with all the modern comforts. It is located in a prominent position in the centre of the beautiful cornish seaside villages of Kingsand and Cawsand and within a stone's throw from the local beaches and rock pools. The long expanse of Whitsand Bay is very close by and offers miles of sandy beaches and dramatic rock formations.

PLEASE NOTE : Laleham House is on only available in July and August so an early booking is recommended.

We arrived in Cawsand 10 years ago and live here permanently. We also have relatives in the village so if you need any information or advice during your stay we are happy to help.

Outside: There is a private courtyard with seating outside the kitchen from which there are steps leading up to the terraced garden above. From here there are spectacular sea views across Plymouth Sound towards the hills of Dartmoor beyond. There are several beaches in the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand and we are within walking distance of the spectacular Whitsand Bay with miles of white sand and dramatic rock formations. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels are provided but please bring beach towels.

Beautiful house, truly perfect location, wonderful family holiday

We booked Laleham House at the last minute following exam results and our week turned into the best family holiday possible. Excellent facilities and a truly magical location. Highly recommended.

The village beaches are almost on the doorstep, just a minutes walk away, if that. There are three beaches separated by rocks and rock pools, safe and great for children.

Just over the hill on the other side of the peninsula and a 5 minutes drive away is the spectacular Whitsand Bay with miles of sandy beaches.


From Plymouth there are ferries running to Roscoff in northern France, a six hour crossing, and Santander, Spain


There is the Cawsand beach ferry which takes passengers 4 times a day direct to the Barbican centre in Plymouth.

By car, using the Torpoint ferry, Plymouth is about 45 minute away, 20 minutes of that is the ferry experience.

Further Details:

There are many country walks and the village itself straddles the South West Coast Path. If you need a break from the beach then visit the Eden Project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan or alternatively go for a stroll over Dartmoor.

Changeover day is Saturday.

Arrival is from 4pm. Because of the size of the house and to ensure we maintain the premises to a high standard, checkout time is no later than 10:30am the following Saturday.

This holiday home is only available in the summer holidays from the end of June to the first week in September.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
