Apartment in great location at Alto Golf, Western Algarve, Portugal - Peaceful and Tranquil Location By Golf Course With Private Shared Pool, 600m To Nearest Beach

This luxury ground floor south facing property, nestled alongside the 13th fairway of Pestana Alto Golf course in beautifully landscaped gardens, feels like a home from home to all guests. It has a well equipped kitchen including washing machine and dishwasher. There are two really good sized bedrooms with large built-in wardrobes in each, including plenty of hangers. G2H has two large bathrooms, one of which is en suite. There are showers in each and also a bath in the en suite. Both have good sized wash basins and mirrors plus plenty of room for toiletries,etc. G2H has a large living room with two leather style sofas, one of which can be used as a sofabed. There is a dining table for six. We have a tv for use with a blu ray dvd player. We have a wide range of DVD's available to use including children's and a varied book library. There is also a Bluetooth speaker system which is compatible for charging with older style ipods and ipads. We also offer free wifi to all guests. The apartment was fully refurbished in 2014.

A large south facing terrace, perfect for al fresco dining, gives direct access to the landscaped gardens. In view from the apartment is a shared private pool with sun terrace, loungers and parasols. Beach towels are offered to each guest.

Also available for use is an ironing board and iron plus a hairdryer.

Full use of nearby Alto Club facilities is also offered including indoor pool, floodlit tennis courts, putting green and gym. Free sun loungers and parasols are available at Alvor beach.

Discounted green fees are available to guests at Pestana Alto Golf. Club house is a ten minute walk away.

Great apartment in a lovely setting

We had a great holiday in this apartment. Very relaxing with the pool and the beaches so close by, with easy access by car to various sight-seeing spots / activities in the Algarve. The apartment itself was spacious and well kitted out. It looks out onto the Golf Course so it felt nice and private as it isn't overlooked by other apartments. The golf course with the trees / greenery and birds was a lovely peaceful setting. The neighbours were mostly families and couples who were all very friendly.

The nearest beach is an easy walk with some nice little snack bars and quiet coves. We also visited Zoomarine and Lagos and did a dolphin boat trip which was amazing - the boat was surrounded by dolphins swimming alongside. Our kids (6 and 8) loved it along with the small beach, Praia da Vau, with its crashing waves. We meant to do a few other sightseeing activities but enjoyed relaxing at the pool, eating in restaurants and swimming at the beach too much. Would love to go back and would choose to stay here again.

Lovely Apartment and well equipped

Very nice apartment in a tranquil location, just as described very clean and looked after. Restaurants and beach in walking distance, would definitely recommend. Will be re booking for next year. If your looking for a quiet place to holiday with excellent accommodation you will not be disappointed . 5/6/16

Just great!

Had a great week in this lovely apartment, which is set in peaceful surroundings, but Vau beach and amenities are only a short walk away.

It was quite hot, but there is usually a lovely breeze & the pool is great to cool down in.

Alvor itself has lots of charm with its little shops & great restaurants to choose from.

On its long sandy beach, with loungers & umbrellas, you can really relax in the sun & then return to the cool of the apartment.

Would highly recommend & will be back!!

Perfection in Portugal

Had a wonderful week. Apartment just as described. Property was immaculate and obviously well maintained by the owners. Very comfortable with everything you could need. Lovely setting overlooking golf course. Owner excellent to deal with. His directions from airport to apartment were spot on. First impressions were that it was a bit far out of Alvor town but soon realised the peace and quiet was a big bonus. Had a very traditional Portugese meal in restaurant on Vau beach while watching fabulous sunset. Came home very relaxed. Would certainly go back and recommend to others.

A stunning retreat

We stayed here for a week & we were just delighted with the apartment, situated in a beautiful, small, well maintained complex with stunning views & gardens, pool was lovely. With just a 10 min walk to the beautiful Vau Beach with a few nice restaurants-they don't look the best but the food was delicious! Apartment had everything we could have needed & we will deffo be back. Colin was a pleasure to deal with.

Location

Having built up a detailed knowledge of the area from numerous visits we were able to make a very informed choice of location when buying. We wanted peace, quiet and tranquility, combined with close proximity to the wonderful selection of beaches, restaurants, bars and shops in the area. G2H matched our criteria perfectly.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Beach : Vau at 500 Metres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is under a 10 minute walk away. It is beautiful. There are many other stunning beaches all within a ten minute car journey.

There is also a great coastal walk along the cliff tops and a beachside boardwalk to Portimao harbour. the harbour area offers surf and sailing schools and any restaurants and bars.

Travel:

Faro Airport is a 45 minute transfer.

There are many taxi companies offering this service and can be arranged for you by request.

Car hire, although not essential, is recommended. Please speak with owners for a preferential company to use.

Distances:

The apartment is ideally situated to explore the beautiful beaches, coastline and countryside of the Western Algarve.

The towns of Silves and Monchique are a 40min drive and for the more ambitious Lisbon is approx. 3hrs away.

The national park of the very western Algarve with its stunning coastline is just 40 minutes away

The excellent Slide and Splash waterpark is a 30 min drive at most and Zoomarine, a water fun park with various animal shows and dolphins, can be reached in under 45 mins

Further Details:

The town of Alvor is nearby (5-7min drive) with a great range of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. Owners recommendations are available within apartment.

Vau beach and Praia da Rocha are also close by, again with a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

The harbour area at Portimao is also a very close drive away with an extensive range of places to eat.

Portimao itself is also very easily reached and here you will find a good range of large supermarkets and retail parks

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen, bathroom towels and pool/beach towels are provided on a weekly basis. Apartment is cleaned before arrival and weekly thereafter.
