Apartment in La Cala de Mijas, Mijas Costa, Costa del Sol, Spain - High on a hillside but less than 10 minutes drive from La Cala and the beach

The apartment was built to a very high specification and has been furnished and equipped to an excellent standard. It is part of a secured gated community with underground car parking. The apartment overlooks the beautiful Calanova Golf Club. The golfing facilities offer a high standard and there is a fantastic Club House and Restaurant - perfect for golf enthusiasts. Immediately behind the apartment are a large pool and children's pool set in beautiful Mediterranean style gardens with lots of sun beds and well cared for grass areas for sunbathing. There is a poolside bar in the height of season (Easter to September) where you can get a drink, ice-cream or light refreshments. Less than 10 minutes drive is La Cala, a traditional Spanish resort that has kept it's charming, authentic character. La Cala has banks, currency exchange facilities, large supermarkets, numerous shops, tapas bars, ice cream parlours, coffee bars, and a wide variety of Spanish and international restaurants. The excellent sandy beach is free with plenty of sun beds and parasols to rent. Stalls line the promenade in the evening as you take a relaxing stroll beside the Mediterranean, following a delicious meal or preparing for your night's entertainment in one of La Cala's excellent bars, many of which have live music. A beautiful boardwalk has been built by the beach that you can stroll along for miles from La Cala towards Marbella. Twice a week there is a local market in the town and an organic market every Sunday.

Lovely apartment

In a lovely peaceful location but only 5 minutes drive into la cala, you do need a car. Very well equipped kitchen. We had the tv and Internet package so you could keep up with news etc. Would recommend this apartment to friends

Excellent place to stay!

We absolutely loved it here! Such a beautiful place! Lovely apartment, spectacular views, and plenty of pools to choose from. Sun beds were always available, and pools were never overcrowded:-) Underground parking was handy and secure. Location was great, just a short drive from major transport links and La Cala de Mijas. The owners Ian & Sally were very hospitable and accomodating. It was a joy to stay here, and we definitely hope to be back soon!

We have just returned from a wonderful, relaxing two weeks in La Cala de Mijas. The Apartment was fantastic! The photos on the site looked lovely but in real life it was even nicer. Very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was spotlessly clean and very well presented. The air con was very welcome in our first week as it was quite hot and it was lovely to be able to go inside to cool down. The terrace was really big with a great view over the golf course and down to Mijas and the sea. The beds are very comfortable and as there was just two of us staying it was really great having two bathrooms, even if there were six people staying I think there would be plenty of space without feeling on top of each other. We choose to take the internet and TV package which was great as I like to keep up with the news from home when I am away (sad I know!) I was even able to watch the BBC N.I. News.The Gardens and pools (5 of them) were very well looked after and kept very clean. As we stayed at the start of Sept. the pool area was very quite and some days we had a pool all to ourselves! The apartment has an underground car park with it's own parking space with a lift straight up to the apartment door which was great. We have used owners direct about ten times over the past view years to book accommodation, we have never been disappointed. This apartment is one of the best we have stayed in and will defiantly book it again! Many thanks Ian and Sally, you have a beautiful place.

Fantastic holiday .... !!!

What a wonderful stay in this apartment. The view from the balcony was amazing and the pools and complex were just gorgeous. We rarely ventured far from the apartment as relaxing round the pool with a pool bar on site was all we needed! The beach, 5 large supermarkets and fab restaurants were all within easy reach (5 mins by car) and the local beaches were glorious. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable and any issues we had were responded to quickly by the property manager Sean .... he'll happily sip a beer with you too if you invite him in!

Fab place and a wonderful 12 days of sunshine, thank you!!!

Great place to stay in Costa Del Sol

The property is situated on the hill with great views on all sides. Only 25 minutes from the airport. The toll road is just 3 minutes away to go east towards Malga or west towards Marbella, Gibralter. The local beach is only 3 miles away. So near the busy towns of Costa Del Sol yet so quiet for relaxing inside the apartment. We have been there twice in a 2015-16 so one can imagine how much we liked it.

Pools on the entrance side are private for the estate for nice hot day.

The owners are very quick and supportive.
