A beautiful detached Cotswold stone cottage in one of the most idyllic unspoilt villages in an area of outstanding beauty in The Cotswolds . The cottage is nestled on the edge of Eastleach on a small no through lane. There is plenty of room to entertain both in the garden and within the cottage. On cold days and evening a log fire can be lit in the sitting room. There are the most amazing walks just by the side of the cottage, beautiful pubs within walking distance and the little towns of Lechlade and Burford with 6 miles drive of the cottage. For more cultural activities the towns of Oxford and Cheltenham and Cirencester are all with 30 mins drive.

Lovely country cottage in charming village

The cottage and garden were lovely, cozy and well equipped for our family of 5. Beautiful little village, our children enjoyed playing in the stream; only a few minutes drive to nearby towns with groceries and other shopping and sights. Owner provided excellent service and good communication. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Lovely Cotswold cottage and garden

A lovely little cottage in a beautiful location. The place had everything we needed for a great stay and the owner has been very good regarding communication and refunding the deposit. We had a fantastic time made better by the proximity of pub gardens, rhinos, real ale, barn owls and asiatic lions. Would highly recommend staying here, we had a fine time.

Quintessential Cotswold Cottage

What more could you want from a " get away cottage", a real home from home. The owner clearly spends a lot of time at the cottage and ensures visitors stay is one to remember. Whilst the cottage is off the beaten track, about 3.5 miles down single track lanes, the village setting and location make the drive worthwhile.

We'd certainly recommend it to friends and family and would stay there again if we were in the area.

From the Owner

I found my dream little cottage in the summer of 2012. I spent a few months refurbishing it. It has been used lovingly at the weekends. It is a joy to be there, surrounded by stunning scenery, fresh air and silence. At night there is NO light pollution or any noise. It is fantastic if you love walking or cycling - many people come to the area for the day to do exactly that. If you want to visit antique shops they are plentiful and what is dubbed as the 'Harrods of the Cotswolds'- the Burford Garden Centre (do not let the name confuse you it is much more than that) is 10 mins drive away! Local shops with local produce - meat, vegetables etc are all within 3 - 6 miles drive.

Activity and Interests

Car: necessary

Special interest holidays:

For riders there are stables where one can go riding all within 8 miles of the cottage.

Cookery lovers have the Thyme School of cookery one mile away.

Sailing enthusiasts have the Lakes a few miles from the cottage.

Walkers can roll out of bed onto the public footpaths which surround the cottage.

For small children there is the Cotswold Wildlife park 3 miles away.

For antique hunters you will be in heaven.....Burford, Tetbury and Lechlade to name but a few destinations!


You are at the furthest point from any beach or sea that is possible in England.

  • Notes on accommodation: The cottage was totally refurbished at the end of 2012. Outside: The garden is private and there is garden furniture provided. During the winter it is kept in the shed at the bottom of the garden (where the logs are) but can be borought out and used. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Property is cleaned prior to the commencement of each tenancy and sheets and towels are provided. If you require a cleaner during the term of the tenancy this can be arranged and paid for separately.
