About the property

Casolare in tranquil location, Wifi, Gated pool area

The Older part of the house has been restored and now more built-on in keeping of its character. Generous sized rooms. Air-conditioning, mosquito netted with a patio area outside each of the bedrooms, internet and gated/walled pool area complete with pergola.

The house is situated in the countryside surrounded by fields of olive/almond trees and vineyards. We are not far from the major roads, the nearest small town(San Michele) being about 10 mins away and the nearest beach 25 mins by car. If it is peace and privacy you want, we have it.

Hello, we are Kevin and Jacki. Welcome to the viewing of our home. We decided that when we visited in 2005, that Puglia was for us. The warmth in temperature as well as the people that live here especially in the country. We want quality time in our lives now as our children are adults and leading their own lives. We now enjoy a more peaceful life.

Why kevin williams chose Brindisi area

We wanted tranquillity in our lives and the chance to go ecological as possible. Seeing a ruin of a 'Lamia' amongst the 10 acres of olive trees gave both Kev and I what we wanted, at the same time we had the opportunity to extend and incorporate a pool for our family, friends and visitors. What we have provides us with opportunities to keep us busy throughout the year; from trimming the trees for the wood for the winters to growing our own veg and hopefully a couple of chicks for eggs.

What makes this house unique

Food is a good part of our lives, so cooking with local and seasonal products helps to give us a healthier live style without even realising we are going without the bad stuff (yes, we still have the odd naughty foods). We chose the rural part of puglia for the tranquillity it provides and yet not to far away off the main highways. Our house is quite spacious and airy. It also allows a bit of privacy on the patio area outside each of the bedrooms. Sitting under the stars with a glass of a delightful local wine.

Notes on accommodation: This is a family friendly house, having in mind the safety of children and the 4.5mx9m(unheated)pool. No pets. No smoking inside, but ashtrays provided outside and would appreciate disposal of rubbish in bags/bins(as doing our bit for the environment), also provided. Air-conditioning is available in JJuly and August at no extra cost provided usage is not excessive. Like all air-conditioning, it requires windows and doors to be closed to work properly. A welcome hamper of food etc. will be provided to allow you time until the next day. Extra shopping can be arranged prior to arrival, especially because of weight restrictions on flights. Boarding passes can be printed by arrangement. Outside: Private courtyard at front of house with 5mx3m gazebo with table/seating for 10 people for 'Al fresco' dining, 2 double wooden futons and mattresses, barbecue(gas), fridge, sink. Courtyard leads to gated pool with pergola and seating, 6x wooden sun loungers(cushions), umbrellas Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Bedding, towels, pool/beach towels are provided, with no extra cost. Cleaning and change over will be weekly; those booking more weeks together will have the change over, again with no extra cost. Other: Another area(which has two single bed chairs). It is an area that is between the master bedroom and lounge

Fantastic rural holiday, perfect!

This holiday was out first trip to Italy and also in a rural area. It surprised us in many ways, it was absolutely delightful. It suited out 3x children as had the gated in pool area and property, to which they spent most of their days. Great BBQ area which was used every evening, beautiful ceiling markings, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, hot weather, spectacular grounds for walking, amenities including Lidl and local little towns within 15-20 minutes drive, peaceful location, great value and quality for money food and drinks at shops and trip locations out were once in a life time must sees. The property owners were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. This trip really had opened our eyes to rural holidaying. Definitely rebooking for 2017 and even taking another family with us.

San Michele Salentino with its smaller supermarkets is ideal for day to day shopping. It has many restaurants, banks and a local open air market, once a week.

Leece for the archietecture and art- 45mins approx

Prices in sterling. Deposit of 25% (non refundable) at time of booking to secure your particular week/s. Balance due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. A refundable security desposit for damages of £300 is payable with the final balance, refundable within 7 days of your departure of property subject to inspection.

Changeover Day:
Change over day is Saturday. Arrival times 4pm and departure time 10am, both can be flexible dependent on next/previous occupancy.

Notes on prices:
The price is for up to 8 people,but 2 are accommodated on the bed chairs in the study(best for children as no separation from masterbedroom to the lounge. Cot/high chair can provided at no extra cost.

This year British Airways are flying into Brindisi airport and prices are pretty good if you book early.
