Modern ...welcoming...a home from home

  • 5 of 5

After a short drive from St Malo we arrived at Keranjic ...we were welcomed by Carol who showed us around her property...she was very pleasant and very informative about guern and the surrounding area ...instantly putting us at ease, as this was our first time staying at a rented property In France .And we weren't disappointed ...the property had everything you could want for a relaxing stay or a fun packed holiday..every little detail was covered . The property was immaculately clean from top to bottom , and a credit to Carol and Jerry...we enjoyed our short stay there and will definitely be returning next summer . Thank you again for your hospitality and allowing us to stay ...Jon /Gill /Euan and little Martha

Perfect place to relax

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gite Kerjanic last month. The accommodation was ideal for our needs, with well equipped kitchen and very comfortable living area and modern appliances, the facilities fully matching our expectations. The rural location suited us very well with a spacious garden area, complete with sunbeds and barbecue for the times we simply wanted to relax but also offered plenty of local woodland walks right from the door which we made good use of.

The gite was a great base for exploring both the local area and further afield. The village of Guern was only a few minutes away and easy walking distance and the town of Pontivy 15 minutes away by car offering a range of outlets for buying supplies, eating out and access to lovely riverside walks. There are a number of other sites nearby such a Lake Guerledan, Josselin, and St Nicolas des Eaux to name a few offering a range of activities from visits to historic sites, water sports, hiking and cycling amongst others..

Being so central the coastal areas to the NE and SW were both easily accessible. We really enjoyed the historic city of Vannes and had some fantastic coastal walks around Carnac and Quiberon. There are many other places in the area to explore so we certainly will visit again in future and have already recommended it to friends.

Our hosts Carol & Jerry couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They were on hand when we needed them but also respected our privacy and were fonts of knowledge in terms of where to visit, what to see and places to eat.. The welcome basket that they provided was an unexpected extra treat, greatly appreciated and really kickstarted the holiday. Thanks Carol & Jerry for making our holiday extra special.

A home that you never want to leave....

  • 5 of 5

This gite is beautifully finished in an absolutely tranquil location.

Carol and Jerry could not be more welcoming and are full of local knowledge to make your stay stress free. The welcome hamper was also a lovely bonus.

The gite is very clean and fully equipped with everything you need, even down to an umbrella in case you get that odd rainy day! The private garden is a real bonus and a lovely place to relax in the sunshine and dine al fresco. The British Freeview channels are also good, especially if you have children to occupy when cooking dinner!

The hot tub (additional charge) is also a lovely extra which you have the flexibility to use if you wish.

There are lovely country walks directly from the garden and Pontivy is close by for all your grocery needs or larger shops.

Lakes and beaches are also within easy reach by car and the Blavet valley offers some lovely riverside walks and picnics.

This is a property where you can truly relax and absorb the French way of life. Would return without hesitation.

Thank You Carol and Jerry.

Beautifully located well maintained property.

  • 5 of 5

Although the weather was less than warm, the welcome we received from Carol and Jerry more than made up for it. The Gite was great; it was better stocked than our own home and was spotlessly clean. Given the weather the log fire and hot tub were an added bonus.

The few warm days were spent using the barbecue and the sun beds, and with the large private garden which is not overlooked we felt very relaxed and spoilt.

A day spent in Vannes was lovely and the small train that takes you around the old town for only 6 euros can be found in front of the Q car park at the harbour, it was great and allowed us to see much more than if we walked.

There are markets on each day but the best by far is the one on a Monday at Auray, if you walk down to the harbour (about 10 minutes) from the market area you will find a few places for a drink/coffee/meal over looking the water.

The villages around the Gite are lovely and the locals are all very helpful. Carol is a font of information and will happily point you in the direction of loads of places to eat and visit, noting was too much bother for her and it is clear from the presentation of the Gite that she has put her heart and sole into the renovation of it.

If you are looking for peace quiet and relaxation, look no further.

I would have no hesitation at recommending this property.

A quiet, welcoming and very well equipped gite

  • 4 of 5

We were met on arrival on a cold, bleak winters evening by the owners who made us very welcome. The accommodation is everything it is described as being: clean, very well appointed and newly equipped and soon with heating and a log fire we were well established. The location suited our get-away-from-it-all holiday break, and with the kindly advice of the owners were able to make the most of the very friendly local towns and villages. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days break at Kerjanic, and circumstances permitting will make a point of returning for a longer stay during the summer months when we can see the local area at it's best.
