About the Owner

Jo, Huw & Daniel live in Cheddar, Somerset & have been visiting Los Alcazares for the last 8 years. It's a part of Spain that never fails to impress them from the safe warm shallow water on the Costa Calida to the 5km promenade which stretches from Los Narajos to the old town & is dotted with tapas & beach bars. The Plaza gives a great selection of shops, cafe's, bars & restaurants with something for every taste.

IDEALLY SITUATED

This is the third time we have stayed on this complex. This is by far the nicest apartment, clean, tidy and not full of owner's personal effects. Great location to sit on the balcony enjoying a glass of sangria and watching the kids in the pool. We would definitely choose to come back to this apartment if we decide to go back for a fourth year ............. we are very tempted! Thank you to Jo and Huw for all your information and for making our booking so easy.

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic stay in this lovely apartment. There were 6 of us. Myself & my husband & 4 teenagers. The location is fantastic..we were able to walk to everything. It is so safe & friendly everywhere so we were happy to let the teenagers do their own thing if they wanted to. Pool is lovely,beach gorgeous & loads of places to eat & drink. There was wifi in all the bars/reataurants & sometimes by the apartment which kept the teenagers happy. Jo was really helpful with everything & we used taxi driver Gwyn a couple of times & he was great. All in all a fantastic holiday,very relaxing & everyone was happy.

Lovely and convenient apartment

Property was clean and had everything we would need and some extras too (trolleys for beach, etc) - and even a kettle which is rare in Spanish apartments. We were staying with young children and there was a travel cot and a booster chair which came in very handy. Only issue for young kids were the internal stairs - we tied a sheet across as a makeshift stairgate which held them off. The pool area and all of the complex outside was pretty and well-maintained - and if it had been warm enough we could have sat on our balcony and watched the kids play around the pool, but we were there in a cold week in April so that didn't happen! Everything you would need was a walk away - supermarkets (Lidl and Mercadona) and restaurants in the new touristy strip going down to the beach. The beach was beautiful too, shallow water, clean fine sand and lovely views across the Mar Menor. You could walk to the old part of town too. If you wanted to explore further afield then you would really need to hire a car - public transport options were either none at all, or rubbish!

Jo was super helpful. She organised the airport pickup and drop off for us which was so handy and at a good price too.

Excellent

Just back from 4 days playing golf. An excellent apartment, comfortable and brilliantly positioned for local golf courses, restaurants and bars. A bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch! Looking forward to coming back again next year. Thank you to Jo and Huw!

Fabulous

Have just returned from a 2 week stay. Just wanted to say what a fabulous time we had. The apartment is very well set out and has everything you could possibly need for all eventualities. Everything works well, air con was a bonus as it was exceptionally hot. Apartment is very well located, being a 5 min walk from shops, promenade and an absolute multitude of restaurants all serving very good food. Area is very flat which made it ideal as we had one member of the family in a wheelchair. Will definitely be returning. Many thanks.

Lovely Apartment

Just back from a weeks holiday at Jo and Huw's apartment and all I can say is, it is lovely, have stayed at other apartments on the complex but found this one to be the best. From the view over the pool to the inside of the apartment all very comfortable with everything you could possibly need.

A short walk down into the square where you will find many lovely bars and restaurants all at reasonable prices.

We hope to visit again and would definitely book this apartment next time.

Location

From the Owner

We had stayed in similar properties on the complex so when we heard that the owners of this one were selling we took the bull by the horns. There is so much space compared to others we looked at, the complex is just the right size and it's secure. The apartment is right by the pool so no issues about letting our son go up and down on his own while we sit watching from the balcony.

Coast/Beach:

Within easy walking distance (10 mins.) of the clear blue mineral rich warm waters and sandy beaches of the Mar Menor which is a 23 km. salt-water lagoon opening out onto the Mediterranean, ideal for children and water sports enthusiasts. The area enjoys on average 320 days of sunshine each year.

Travel:

Easy access to airports - Murcia (San Javier) 10 mins. Alicante 1 hour.

Distances:

Los Alcazares is well connected to the recently upgraded Spanish motorway network and several towns of historic interest are within easy reach such as Murcia and Cartagena. The area can also be reached by train.

Further Details:

The penthouse is within easy walking distance of picturesque sandy beaches, shops, supermarkets and a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets!
