Les Fermes de Samoens is in the beautiful historic village of Samoens. The Apartment is on the ground floor, there is always a sunny spot to be found on the decking whatever the time of day. We have added a few luxury items for pure indulgence 10 boot/glove warmer and a 18 bottle wine/beer chiller but to name a few. Blue ray DVD player music system with Aux connection, block of English sockets for charging phones etc. In the reception building there is a small indoor pool.

About Alison and Stephen Fletcher

Stephen & Alison Fletcher. We first skied in the Grand Massif in 2004 and immediately fell in love with Samoens village. It has a unique old village charm and atmosphere. Yet only an 8 minute gondola ride you are in to an extensive varied ski area. We have owned the apartment since 2004 but are now managing it our selves. We have taken the opportunity to refurbish it to our requirements and for clients who appreciate an apartment which is well equipped.

We have holidayed all over France and love the country and people. So buying in a dual season resort seemed the right thing to do. There is fabulous skiing.Lots of actives in the summer. All set in the most beautiful scenery.

Stunning apartment very well equipped

We had a fantastic holiday in this great apartment, perfect for a family of 4. The apartment has everything you could need and more including lots of nice features - dishwasher, UK sockets, coffee machines, toaster, hairdryer even DVDs and board games. There is lots of storage space too and the apartment was very clean, linen was changed in the middle of our stay.

The kitchen is superb, very clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable and a bonus was the large lower bunk bed which was perfect for a growing 15 year old!. Nice touches include lights and shelves around the beds and lots of sockets for chargers etc

There is a lovely decking area outside which has plenty of chairs, tables even a comfy sofa. The complex is very nice too and the 2 swimming pools were great, you can even order bread and croissants from reception.

A perfect holiday apartment in a great location, samoens is a very pretty village and has everything you need. There is a small shop (Sherpa) about 10 mins walk from the apartment.

Owners were a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. We will definitely be returning!

Immaculate apartment in a fantastic location

The apartment was perfectly located with town only a few minutes walk away and the main lift station around the corner. The complex is very quiet and would make a great spot for families. There is lots of parking on site and the area felt safe and secure. Everything inside the apartment was immaculate and the fixtures were of a very high standard. Having UK plug sockets was a fantastic bonus!!

Samoens is a beautiful town and the apartment is a 5-10min walk from the town centre. The apartment was spotless and well equipped. It was very homely and nicely decorated. There is plenty to see and do in Samoens and nearby Morzine including swimming, tennis and cycling to name but a few. We had a wonderful holiday here and plan to return.

Great apartment in a lovely location

The apartment is lovely. The bathroom and kitchen are modern and stylish with good appliances. The furniture and décor are nice throughout and the beds are really comfortable for a good night’s sleep. There is a decking terrace along two sides of the apartment which was great for sitting outside for meals or drinks. There are fantastic views to either side of the valley from the terrace which was a great backdrop to the meals we had at the apartment.

Samoens is a great place. There is a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants but it still has a small town feel to it with a lovely market square, church and botanical gardens. There was plenty to do in terms of walking both around Samoens and up in the mountains.

A really great place to stay and we both had a really enjoyable week.

A TRUE DELIGHT.

We spent a fabulous week at this property, in a beautiful location overlooking the mountains. The apartment is very tastefully furnished and presented. Our hosts have thought of everything. It is spotlessly clean, lovely kitchen and drinks station. Comfortable beds. Very welcoming. We enjoyed breakfast on the decking and our evenings watching the sun go down. The small town of Samoens is very friendly, with many amenities, including a nearby cycle/ ski hire centre (Extreme Glisses) where we hired bikes, most helpful staff. A great area to explore on foot/ bike/car. Stunning scenery. I can highly recommend this delightful property.

In the next village Morillion the is a swimming lake with sandy beach and grass area. Approx 2 miles.

Travel:

Nearest Airport: Geneva 1 hour drive.

Nearest Port: Calais it is 535 miles and takes about 8 hours to drive.

Nearest Train station: Cluses 12 miles.

Samoens

The village is alive with a lovely friendly atmosphere. It is the only French ski resort to be listed as a historic monument with the centre of the village dating back to the early 13th century much of it built by stone masons for which the village became famous. It has a beautiful 8 acre botanical garden that recently celebrated its centenary. The Giffre river flows through the village with rafting from Sixt down to Samoens passing through a narrow gorge on the way. There is an outdoor swimming pool in the village with a water slide and a lake close to it with a golf driving range into the water. Col de Joux Plane is the mountain road that links Samoens with Morzine and is sometimes used as a stage on the Tour de France. It has great views of Mont Blanc from its summit. If you prefer to self-cater, Carrefour have a good sized supermarket on the outskirts of Samoens. There are also two small supermarkets in the village within walking distance plus numerous banks/ATM's. In July and August, 7 of the Grand Massif lifts run including the Gondola out of the village so walkers and mountain bikers are well catered for. There are challenging downhill bike routes graded blue to black.
