Located in the peaceful village of Ullock with over an acre of cultivated garden for you to enjoy, with pond and packhorse bridge. Private drive with ample parking, patio with fell views, close to Cockermouth and the unspoilt quieter side of the Lakes. All on one level, cosy and warm, with garden views from the windows.

The entrance hall leads into a cosy living/dining room with windows on 2 sides a television, dvd player and radio, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all electric appliances. Broadband is also available, and books and guides are there for you to use. Full central heating is included to keep you warm on those cooler days.

The bedroom has 1 double bed, wardrobe and all linen is included. Laundry service is available.

Ample parking within the grounds.

We built this house ourselves, and the apartment has been available for letting for over 10 years, with many people coming back year after year to enjoy walking the fells, or just relaxing and exploring the lakes, coast, and local towns.

What makes this apartment unique

In a small rural village, we are just 5 miles from Cockermouth, and within easy reach of the Northern lakes, Loweswater within 4 miles, Buttermere and Crummock a short drive away. Keswick only 20 miles away. A wealth of wildlife in the extensive gardens, with a variety of birds and even red squirrels feeding just outside the window. A stream with packhorse bridge, pond and woodland path all there for you to enjoy when you arrive. We live on the premises and will be here to welcome you.

Outside: Over 1 acre of garden with woodland, pond and stream, with several seats for morning coffee and table and chairs on the patio looking over the fells for your evening glass of wine.. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedding, towels included, changed on request. Cleaned weekly by the owner before each visit. Laundry service provided. Electricity and heating included. Lovely apartment in a great location.

Marion & John made us feel very welcome here for our weeks holiday in Treetops. The apartment was clean and very comfortable for the pair of us and an ideal location for the northern lakes and beyond. Surrounded by well maintained gardens and with the beautiful weather we were spoilt. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

A cosy apartment in a beautiful setting.

I stayed here for 4 weeks whilst on a work placement. The lovely clean and warm apartment with very accommodating hosts meant it felt like a home from home. Marion is polite and friendly and went out of her way to ensure I enjoyed my stay. The grounds around the apartment are beautiful, the village is lovely and there is a pub with excellent food in the next village (Dean) which you can walk to. I highly recommend a stay here as it is excellent value for money, close to Cockermouth and Keswick and ideal for exploring the stunning West lakes area.

Very comfortable apartment in convenient location for North Western Lake District area.

My wife and I stayed at Treetops for a week during the autumn. The apartment was warm and comfortable and very convenient for day trips. Marion & John (our hosts) were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The tourist information in the apartment had plenty of great ideas for days out and Marion kindly lent us her OS maps. Lots of little extras were provided (milk, tea, chocolates, orange juice, fruit, wine etc.) which was a pleasant bonus.

Located about 5 or so miles from Cockermouth this location is absolutely ideal for exploring the North Western Lake District area (Keswick, Loweswater, Buttermere, Crummock, Bassenthwaite, Ennerdale and Derwent Water etc.).

Staying in the Autumn we did of course run the risk of having bad weather, however we didn't and the autumn colours were fantastic.

Lovely little apartment in a great location

We stayed in Treetops for a few nights and loved it. The Wilson's were brilliant hosts and made us feel very welcome, and the tourist information pack in the room had plenty of great walk ideas. Located a few miles from Cockermouth, and about 30 mins drive from Keswick, Buttermere and Ennerdale it was great for day trips.

Although we stayed in winter, in the warmer months it would be a lovely, peaceful place for sitting out in the garden on a night time to relax.

Lovely - would stay there again!

The apartment was a perfect base for the two of us to explore the Western Lakes. Kitchen, bedroom and living room were everything we needed and we appreciated the extra touches and the bird table outside. The Wilsons were friendly and helpful hosts. The only (minor) issue was the bathroom facilities were quite noisy after use.

Would definitely come again!

Holiday 2014

John & Marion have always made us feel very welcome & their hospitality is 2nd to none, the appartment is always very clean & homely. 2014 was the 4th year in a row that we have stayed with them & we are currently looking at staying their in August / September 15. There is always a bottle of wine, milk, chocolates & fruit awaiting you upon arrival. On a personal level I spend a lot of time in hotels for business purposes & to be honest very few of them come up to the standard that Marion looks after her apartment. If I ever had to work up in the Lake District I wouldn't think twice to stay anywhere else. Keep up the good work, Andy & Jill xx
