Family summer holiday

The outside patio areas around the villa and the pool were good with nice views towards the coast. The pool was well looked after and the pool lady was very friendly and helpful. TV and wi-fi in the villa were both very good. The inside of the villa is very tired and could certainly do with a makeover. Soon after arrival we found the shower cubicle overflowed due to a partially blocked drain and the toilet sea in the bathroom was so loose that we feared it would come off. Both these were reported to Maria two days after our arrival but were never fixed. It is the only place we have ever rented that had no information or local maps relating to the surrounding area eg restaurants, beaches, markets, sightseeing etc and no information on emergency numbers or local doctors, dentists etc to call if needed. As it was extremely hot while we were there aircon would also have been a bonus. Having said all this we did have an enjoyable time and the grandchildren loved the pool. Feel a car is really essential.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review ,i m glad you enjoyed your stay .Sorry you feel the property could need some modernisation but the price paid is very reasonable to reflect this .If the property was upgraded it would cost double the price . I have numerous repeat bookings and most guests are more than happy

Place To Go For R&R

I have just returned from a 10 day stay in the villa with my girlfriend and I must say it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever been on. From the time I booked the villa Christine was extremely helpful and answered any questions I had very promptly.

The villa itself is perfect for a bit of relaxation. The outside area by the pool gets sunlight for the majority of the day but when the sun does lower a little the balcony at the rear of the property gets every last bit of sunlight there is and is a lovely place to unwind with a drink at the end of the day. The pool itself is very large and just tops off what is a very nice outside area of the villa.

The location of the villa is perfect in that it is roughly halfway between the 2 main areas of the village where you will find numerous bars, restaurants, bakeries etc. Both areas are no more than a 10 minute stroll and any place we visited was very welcoming plus provided some lovely very reasonably priced food and drink.

All in all, I would recommend this villa to anyone, I have done since I have been home, and I will definitely be returning in the future.

villa with pool

When we first entered the villa we weren't too sure as it is definitely dated, but when we got settled in we kinda warmed to it, then as the week went on we loved it, it really felt like home from home, the neighbours are lovely, & we were really sad to leave. You really need a car to enjoy the area which is excellent, the beaches are first class, hope to visit again.

Beautiful location, nearby beaches and all amenities. English speaking area but still maintaining the Spanish feel. Enough going on in the village all year round.

5 mins walk to village centre. 10 minutes drive to nearest town of Pilar de la horadada.The Alicante region is ideal for Sightseeing, Beaches, Walking, Fishing, Golf and relaxation.

Also of interest: Mediterranean 8 km Mar Menor 12 km La Manga- next big cities: Torrevieja (16 km), Cartagena (35 km), Murcia (45 km), Alicante (70 km) Benidorm (80 km) salt flats of San Pedro del Pinatar where you can see the flamingos, declared a Nature Reserve and Regional Park.

Further Details:

The village is very friendly, surrounded by orange and lemon groves, with a magnificent open air municipal pool, tennis courts, etc. There are 3 doctors surgeries and 2 chemists all English/German speaking, a UK supermarket plus lots of fantastic restaurants, some have live music, quiz nights etc.

Lively but without being too noisy. Regular bus service to Pilar town and beach, with connections to Murcia, Granada and many more. Pilar de la Horadada is a bustling Spanish town, with many bars, restaurants, shopping. Walking distance of Pinar de Campoverde is a well known area of natural beauty called the Rio Seca ('Dry River'), this is an excellent place to take a stroll and enjoy the many species of flora and fauna, there are a number of unusual species to enjoy including some wild orchids and some rare varieties of dwarf palm.

Pinar de Campoverde is a tranquil place and it is clear to see why many British people have chosen to make it their home, living amongst the pine forests in a quiet hillside location and enjoying picturesque views. A lovely Mediterranean climate with in excess of three hundred sunny days every year, exceptionally low rainfall and extremely mild, sunny winters. Away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby coastal resorts but close enough to get to and enjoy their facilities when you wish. 10 minutes walk to the municipal pool and tennis courts.
