Casa Vivo is a detached villa nestling on the edge of the beautiful fishing village of Burgau. Situated on the headland, it has fabulous views from all the main rooms overlooking the sea and beach. The villa is superbly furnished with a very clean contemporary design. There is a private salt-water swimming pool (heating optional) a private terrace surrounding the property with a BBQ and shaded area for eating or lounging, plus 3 upstairs balconies with stunning sea views. The villa is ideally located for a family holiday with a glorious safe beach and one of the best beach bars in the Algarve. The friendly village has quaint white washed villas set in narrow cobbled streets, a good choice of restaurants serving fresh fish, pizza/pasta etc and a sports club with tennis and squash courts. Parque da Floresta and Boavista golf courses are 10km away. The village has 3 supermarkets, bakery, cash point & a morning market selling fresh fish and produce. It's a charming place, try it, you'll love it!

Nearest Train : Lagos, Portugal at 10 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Burgau at 500 Metres

Coast/Beach:

The beautiful safe sandy Burgau beach is only 3 mins walk from Casa Vivo. The beach has been awarded the distinguished blue flag for its pristine condition and the fabulous beach bar/restaurant is a major attraction. Life guards on duty in peak season. Other beautiful beaches are a short drive away, the quiet Boca Do Rio is 5 mins, Luz for water-sports is 5 mins. Salema, Ingrina and Zavial (good for surfing) are 10- 15 mins drive, whilst for wind surfing, Sagres is about 20 mins drive away.

Travel:

Faro airport is the nearest airport and is a 1 hour drive away. Car hire is not essential for Burgau, although recommended if you wish to explore the Algarve. Airport transfers can be arranged, please enquire.

There is a regular bus service 6 times a day to the nearest town Lagos and 5 times a day west to Sagres. The village does have basic amenities, as shown in "further details".

Burgau Village 2 mins walk to village centre. Praia da Luz 5km. Lagos 10km. West Coast (Sagres) 20km. Golf Courses 10km.

Casa Vivo is only 2 mins walk to Burgau village centre and a choice of several village restaurants or bars. The village has 3 small supermarkets, a bakery, newsagents, port and wine shop, gift shops, cash-point and a daily market selling fresh fish and produce. The village sports club is 1.2km away for tennis, squash, pool, and great children’s activity days etc. The beautiful Marina town of Lagos is 10km away, with it's winding streets, traditional cafes and shops, plus boat trips for fishing and dolphin watching. Parque Da Floresta and Boavista Golf courses are 10 km distant, also offering tennis/coaching, horse riding, archery and much more.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: All main rooms overlook the pool and terrace and out towards the sea. The rooms are beautifully light, spacious and stylish; all bathrooms well fitted out. There is the option of under floor heating in the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms and air conditioning or heating in bedrooms and living room at an extra cost of £60 per week. Pool heating is available at a cost of £95 per week. Please stipulate at the time of paying the balance if this is required so that we can arrange to have the pool heated ready for your arrival. Strictly no smoking and no pets thank you. Please note that the pool is not fenced, small children will need to be supervised at all times. Due to the direct access into the pool, the property is not recommended for children who cannot swim unaided. Owners are not liable for accidents. Outside: Casa Vivo is a detached property surrounded by it's own private terraced area and flower beds. There is a 7.6m x 3.5m private salt-water pool, with terrace and views over the rooftops of the village to the sea; it has a shallow end with steps for children. Pool heating is an optional extra. There is a lovely, very private, covered area to the side, overlooking the pool; an ideal place to retreat out of the sun for lunch or to lounge with a good book. There is a charcoal BBQ, 6 sunbeds, plus 5 low, lounger type chairs, which are ideal for either on the terrace, or upstairs on the balconies and a new "cube" basket weave/glass dining table which seats up to 8. There is plenty of space for parking directly outside the villa, which is a real bonus in Burgau! Utility Room: Utility area with iron, ironing board, airer, room for storage of beach equipment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen is high quality cotton and is changed weekly. Towels are included and changed every 5 days. Please bring your own beach towels. Cleaning once weekly, but additional cleaning can be arranged at extra cost
