Located in a country setting with sea views, Casa Areal offers guests excellent levels of accommodation, comes well equipped and has an inviting private swimming pool to enjoy. Ideal for families or two couples, guests will enjoy the open and covered terraces which provide excellent spaces for outdoor living and dining together with the natural gardens and convenient off road private parking and poolside barbecue. Free WIFI Facilities are provided and there is a large flat screen TV with Satellite channels. For convenience ceiling fans are fitted in the bedrooms with additional mobile fans provided should these be required. Modern appliances include a washing machine and dishwasher, microwave and large fridge freezer. The nearby town of Tavira has many attractions, excellent beaches and the Ria Formosa natural park is perfect for cycling, walking or bird watching.

Having relocated from Ireland, we've now been living in the area for many years, running a successful business in Tavira. We love the people and the region - it has so much to offer visitors and plenty of attractions to keep everyone happy.

Why Joy Fletcher chose Santo Estevao

We love the setting being only a few kilometres from the lovely coastal town of Tavira, yet within pretty countryside with sea views and with an inviting swimming pool! Renovated and improved since we first purchased, we have made Casa Areal a very comfortable and attractive holiday home. Access to blue flag beaches, pretty villages, excellent restaurants and the 'real' Algarve are all within easy reach.

What makes this villa unique

The Blue Flag beach at Tavira has been voted one of the best in Portugal. Tavira also boasts a well preserved historic centre, excellent restaurants and extensive shopping facilities - its remains steadfastly Portuguese - far removed from the more brash and busier resorts along the coast. Excellent sporting facilities can be found close by including several golf courses, horse riding, cycle hire and water sports. The property itself is comfortable and very well equipped throughout. Either relaxing by the pool enjoying glorious sunshine or exploring the local area, guests will be sure to enjoy their stay.

We are just back from our weeks holiday at Casa Areal and had a lovely time. It was our first time in the Algarve and we enjoyed it tremendously. The weather was glorious and Tavira is lovely with plenty of tempting fish and seafood restaurants plus many other attractions. The villa and pool are excellent making it a special holiday for us. The nearest beach is Tavira (an accredited Blue Flag beach) which is located 4km from the house and reached via short ferry crossing from Tavira. This beach has been voted one of the best beaches in Portugal with excellent facilities including bars, restaurants, children's playground, life guards, sunbeds and parasols for hire.


The closest airport is Faro (FAO). This is approx 30km from the house. Car hire is recommended due to the rural location. The second closest airport is Seville (SVQ), which is approx 180km distance.

There is an in-built pool side barbecue, sun loungers and outdoor chairs and table for al fresco dining. Pool dimensions are 8x5m, 1-1.95m depth with Roman steps and surrounded by attractive locally produced Santa Caterina tiling. Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine and dishwasher and doors to covered terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included including pool towels. Property prepared for arrival with a mid-stay change of towels/linen and a bathroom clean for two week bookings.

Amazing stay, such a peaceful area. Most of the holiday was spent bobbing around in the massive pool in the beautful garden of the villa. Would recommend and would stay again. Joy was very helpful and responded to all of quieries throughout our stay, HIghliy recommended

Superb property for a relaxing break, great pool area with a brilliant Barbie !

Good size kitchen with everything you need to eat in. Comfortable lounge, dining area with wifi & a TV to keep in touch with news etc.

Close to supermarkets & the coast is only 10 mins away.

All in all excellent !! Thank you Joy.

what a Fab place, its was clean, well kept,with all new white goods,the pool was clean and the area around was well kept,we had a Great time, and the owner Joy,was a great help,and the her bar in the town of Tavira,was lovely,could not fault it,I would say 10/10 we are going back later in the year. but don't tell anyone about it,its our secret.......lol
