Cottage on the outskirts of Endon, Staffordshire, England, - On the edge of the Peak District, Rudyard Lake and Alton Towers

The Dairy Cottage is in the delightful rural countryside on the edge of the old picturesque village of Endon. The beautifully converted former Dairy sleeps 4 people and offers everything you need for a truly relaxing break, situated just 1.7 miles from The Ashes Wedding Venue in Endon village. The good sized accommodation offers character with exposed beams, an excellent equipped kitchen, dining and living area. There are two bedrooms one double with en-suite and a twin room next to the main bathroom. Outside there is a garden where you can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Parking is at the front of the cottage and outside shelter available for bikes.

We are on the edge of one of the UK's national treasures, the Peak District with perfect walks and historical towns. There is plenty do and the cottage provides an ideal base for exploring many local attractions including Rudyard Lake, Churnet Valley with its Steam Railway and network of canals, and the popular Alton Towers.

A good location in beautiful countryside..

The decor reflected the property surroundings and the cottage was suitably equipped for our needs. The cottage boasted stunning views and a warm and cosy atmosphere. As suggested by the property owner in their guide book. We enjoyed a walk by the canal in Denham. The Hollybush very welcoming and friendly, serving traditional pub grub. Great walks out from the Ramblers Retreat, near Alton, lovely afternoon tea. Evening meal at the Travellers Rest in Stanley. Fish Pie was nice and a good selection of meals on the menu. We would certainly visit again.

Comfortable and welcoming property

Well furnished with everything needed for a great stay and very warm even when waking up to a snowy morning - upside down layout of the cottage with the lounge upstairs makes the most of the beautiful views across the countryside - highly recommended

Pretty cottage but ....

..... not really suitable for pets as steep stairs with no grips (meaning we had to carry 4 stone dog to and fro) Garden area is not a garden and involves navigating farm gates .... only 3ft fencing and unsecured stable block and hay barn with hazards for dogs .... so overall not exactly the stress free break we were hoping for at all sadly. Lovely for anyone without pets or small children though.

Beautiful cottage for a relaxing break. The weather wasn’t too great so we couldn’t make use of the garden, which was a real shame as the countryside views were lovely. Would stay again.
