Cottage on the outskirts of Endon, Staffordshire, England, - On the edge of the Peak District, Rudyard Lake and Alton Towers

The Dairy Cottage is in the delightful rural countryside on the edge of the old picturesque village of Endon. The beautifully converted former Dairy sleeps 4 people and offers everything you need for a truly relaxing break, situated just 1.7 miles from The Ashes Wedding Venue in Endon village. The good sized accommodation offers character with exposed beams, an excellent equipped kitchen, dining and living area. There are two bedrooms one double with en-suite and a twin room next to the main bathroom. Outside there is a garden where you can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Parking is at the front of the cottage and outside shelter available for bikes.

We are on the edge of one of the UK's national treasures, the Peak District with perfect walks and historical towns. There is plenty do and the cottage provides an ideal base for exploring many local attractions including Rudyard Lake, Churnet Valley with its Steam Railway and network of canals, and the popular Alton Towers.

Brilliant Stay, Cottage was beautiful *****

Really well equipped and comfortable

The owner Clare has made this cottage a great destination for a break. It's about 4 miles from Let and all the shops you need and under an hour to the great Derbyshire dales towns such as Bakewell. Back to the cottage; it has really powerful showers, wooden floors (handy for dogs), plenty of space and a really well equipped kitchen. Very pleased with our stay

Fantastic little cottage

This place is beautiful. Just wish we had booked for longer. Stunning views from the lounge. Perfect grass area for the dogs to run around which they loved. Really felt tucked away from everything which was heaven for a couple of days. The bed was super comfy. Ensuite was great. Gorgeous shower. Everything was just perfect. Lovely place. Will definitely be back 😊

Not as good as expected

There was no welcome from anyone. We thought the owners may have been there to see us after a couple of days just to say hello. As they did not, we could advise them that there were no scissors for the kitchen even though it is on the inventory. Considering the price (expensive), I thought we may get a small welcome hamper which is commonly the case - this was not so. We both banged our heads on the beams of the first floor between the kitchen and the living room.

Lovely property well equipped

Cottage was lovely, only issue we had was lack of ventilation on the upper floor, no windows could be opened which meant the heat that rose upwards when heating on was stifling apart from that decent cottage for what we paid

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. My only wish would have been that you asked about the ventilation when I saw you as I could of solved this for you. The large door like window in the kitchen area opens fully by lifting the handle and pushing out. I am just wondering if you were unsure of the screw latch at the bottom as this fixes the opening to where you want it and if turned before opening may have fixed it closed? Hopefully this did not taint your stay with us and thank you for taking the time to write the review.
