Notes on accommodation: Although a large house, it is also suitable for smaller groups and we are happy to negotiate on price out of peak season, for smaller numbers just wishing to use a couple of bedrooms. Parking - is available in the local pay and display car park. There is no reserved parking. It is a level 2 minutes walk from the house. There is stopping space just outside the house for loading and unloading. Bedrooms are spacious, but no more than 10 plus 2 babies may stay in the property without prior arrangement. Outside: There is a large balcony overlooking the river with comfortable seating for 6, this is accessed through a bedroom. With views upstream towards Mixtow, opposite to Bodinnick and down stream towards the harbour entrance. Glass railings make this a stunning place to sit and enjoy the river through out the year. Please note BBQ's are not allowed on the balcony. Utility Room: Small cupboard containing washer/dryer. Ironing board and iron. Located to the side of the kitchen. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included, please bring your own beach towels and cot bedding. Other: Large hall way including downstairs WC and space suitable for buggies, coats, lots of shoes and wellies !!

Very comfortable and clean property overlooking the river

Enjoyed staying at this comfortable and clean property overlooking the river. Well situated for the car park, ferry crossing and easy walking into Fowey. We had a problem in the property and Katherine quickly responded and resolved it. The balcony on the first floor, off a bedroom, didn’t get the evening sun but offers a nice outdoor seating area.

Fantastic

Lovely spacious house, great location and spectacular views over the river, defiantly has the wow factor.

House has everything you could need bar a coffee machine (a cafeteria is not a coffee machine) this was a little disappointing as we are a coffee loving family.

We all enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend. Baby pack was the best we have had so top marks for that.

Lovely, well located holiday home

Our stay at 34 Passage was wonderful. The property is well located--close to the car park and an easy (level) walk into Fowey. It's a large home with a full kitchen, which we used to feed a group of ten one evening. There was a "starter" package of food items, most of which were local, and all of which were delicious.

The bedrooms are comfortable and quiet, and the views over the estuary / river (across to Bodinnick) are ever-changing and incredibly interesting.

We did a few walks--the round-trip Hall walk and a section of the South Coast Walk, both of which are highly recommended.

No complaints--a lovely home in a lovely part of the world.

I'll be back!!

This is probably the most beautiful house I've stayed in. Large, light and airy. The rooms are decorated perfectly for a holiday home and are perfectly equipped. The beds are possibly the most comfortable I've slept in with gorgeous white bedding and soft pillows and duvets.

The kitchen is full of everything you could possibly need.

The location is perfect, a couple of minutes walk to shops and restaurants and the most delightful views over the estuary.

I would recommend this house to anybody!!

I will certainly be going again!!

There are several beaches near by -

Ready Money Beach Fowey - sandy with a swimming platform and ice cream van! 15 minute walk.

Polkerries beach - sandy with a pub, restaurant and cafe. Water sports available from the beach, great for swimming, 10 minute drive and a short walk from the car park.

Par beach - a long sandy beach great for a walk. 10 minute drive.

Polridmouth - a pebble beach, as featured in the Daphne du Maurier Rebecca is 30 minutes along the coastal footpath.

Travel:

The mainline train service from London Paddington stops at Par station 4 times a day, Par station is just 10 minutes from Fowey.

Newquay airport is 40 minute drive. Exeter is 80 minute drive. Both offer car hire service.

A car is useful when wanting to explore Cornwall, but you can also be independent in Fowey especially if you enjoy walking and want to explore the local area.

Distances:

Lanydrock House is 6 miles, Charlestown 6 miles, Bodmin Moor 10 miles, Truro (the County City) 20 miles. The Eden Project 6 miles. The North Cornish Coast and Padstow is 40 minutes away with Rick Stein's seafood restaurant.

Further Details:

No 34 is located on the South West Coastal footpath, providing some of the county's finest walks.

In Fowey you will find - independent butcher, baker, fishmonger, banks and chemist. Self hire motor boats, skippered fishing trips, sailing, canoeing, lots of different eating and drinking establishments. Together with lots of galleries, clothes shops and much more!

Out of town you will find, The Eden Project, Heligan, Lanyhdrock House and much more!

Changeover Day:
During the main school holidays Friday is the changeover day with arrival at 4.30pm. Outside peak weeks we can be flexible with arrival day.

Notes on prices:
Pricing is based on a 7 night stay arriving on a Friday, outside of the main season we are happy to quote for 3 night stays and arrival on days other than Friday. We also offer special pricing for two person stays.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
