Apple Tree cottage

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable cottage, helpful owners; nothing too much trouble. Very peaceful location; lovely enclosed garden. Only disadvantage not within walking distance of pub! Beware of very steep stairs and low doorways; you soon learn to duck! Ideal location for exploring area, a very good base. Enjoyed buying fish in Aldeburgh and fruit farm on road to Orford, best raspberries ever! Would not hesitate to visit again.

Relaxed and cosy

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is as it looks on the website, very clean, tidy, well decorated and cosy. There was a welcome gift of red wine and cake for when we arrived. Thank you. The facilities were great. Well resourced kitchen, usual bathroom with bath/shower and always hot water at the ready. This is on the ground floor. One large bath towel was provided for each person and one hand towel in the bathroom. It is a good idea to have some cosy footwear to walk on tiles etc. The stairs are a little steep, which could prove difficult for people who find steps hard to climb/balance on. The lounge was very cosy and provided a relaxed area especially after a day out. The cottage is in peaceful surroundings. You certainly get a good nights sleep ! and is well situated to venture out to different places. There are many of these to walk around and places to eat out. (Certainly a good variety for different tastes). This is a really lovely cottage to stay in to 'get away from it all'. Thank you Tracey and Gary. I would certainly stay again if to come to the area.

What a find!

  • 5 of 5

We didn't stay in Apple Cottage but next door in Rose Cottage. The heading says it all.....perfect! Really shouldn't be telling you all this as we will get less time ourselves in this Suffolk gem!

On arrival the cottage was warm and cosy, all the necessities for a drink after a journey, tea, coffee even milk were there for our welcoming.

The cottage is beautifully kept with ample supplies of kindling and logs for the log burner. Despite looking small, the cottage is a good size with all that you will need for a relaxing, chill stay.

A lovely quirky cottage. Thank you to the owners, Gary and Tracy.
